This looks a bit like the old great lakes freighter, built in the 1940s like the Alpina.

This is not a new design. Way back in the 1970s , I was in grade school , I drew a ship like this as my own concept of a new ship design. everyone laughed at me for my weird design. But hey look, now they thought about it and built ships with this design and claiming they created first this design. Nah, it was an old design for me. I was the first one to ever thought about this at the time none of these new designers of ships have not been born yet. Now I am 75, my ship concept of the past became the future design of ships. Nobody believes because i am just an ordinary person. LOL!

When ships are this big and this heavy they don’t have to split the wave, they can smash it.

It seems to me that in a hurricane the portlights will be punched out, which in those circumstances could likely be the beginning of the end.

In extreme seas where is youy reservr buoyancy? It's not all about comfort.

Grotesque. Ugly. For me a ship should be far smaller from the bow line to the top than it is from the water to the bow line. This is a top heavy monstrosity. Anything more than 1,000 passengers is too big.

An incomplete marketing piece for a specialty ship builder. Probably great for North Sea oil field work boats but not necessarily the "sharpest knife in the drawer".

Ships were always steered from the rear, BECAUSE less rope was required between Wheel and Rudder. Steam engines were built with the Boiler forward and Cab rear, BECAUSE horses were always put before the cart. The Shuttle engine nozzles were the size they were BECAUSE they had to fit thru a rail tunnel between factory & launch pad. The rail track is the same width as the wheel track of a Roman chariot, based on the size of the back-sides of two horses abreast. Go Figure...

Didnt the biremes and triremes of the ancients already show the efficacy of this “revolutionary” design? 🤔 Of course, today’s vessels aren’t designed for ramming-speed. 🤷🏼♂️

Apparently, w'ever distinguishes this design from previous designs is a commercial secret (maybe a state secret!), hence the absence of any description, explanation, or comparison with the conventional shapes. Glad they replaced it with the pretty tunage tho. Guess that's our consolation prize?
