My filming days were over once my son left school in 2019. It was a hobby for me and I'm glad others got the benefit from it all. But now; it just remains as historical achieves :)

Not stolen as I've never seen Riverview's send off. I have a policy never to use a song/music which I've seen someone else use... but unfortunately I didn't see this video. But thanks for your comment.. I'll be sure to watch Riverview's send off. I've been told my Great Grandfather was a Dux of Riverview many many years ago... so total respect.

Not sure what the problem could be with posting the race videos, who is it hurting? Tim has been posting the race videos for 3-4 years now, why the sudden decision by the GPS to stop this occurring? Many people enjoy watching the boys races on KZbin, especially parents that could not attend, this includes parents with boys who board at the various GPS schools and find it very difficult to get to Wyaralong to watch it live. GPS get your act together, let Tim post the races from the Head of River 2019.

Thanks everyone for the kind words and support. I will continue to work towards posting these races. What I will also do over the next couple of days is make the footage available on Dropbox. If anyone is interested in obtaining the video file of an age group races, just send me an email with the name of the age groups you wish to download and I'll send you the link/s. Hi Tim Like you this is my sons last year of rowing and I would love a keepsake of the event and footage to pass on to family and friends around the world. Given the warning was put out to you via the GPS, do you happen to know if they arranged for any other footage to be taken of the racing? I know that they work with the schools to arrange live stream footage of the Rugby. To say you cant do it just before the major event of the season seems crazy to me. Why not just advise at the end of the season rather than disappointing so many people by taking away what has been a great service to all that you have provided. Also I think TSS might not have got the message; vimeo.com/324774647 Have you thought of putting the footage up in a closed group google drive and add all you channel subscribers as people with access to that group, that gets away from it being on social media. So many of us love what you do and rely on your videos to send to boarding student families and other family and friends that cant make it to the dam, especially given the bad weather last weekend. With my own situation I have a father with dementia in a aged care facility and my mother could not come out to the dam as she has trouble walking and with the poor weather we just couldn't take the risk, by the sounds of it they will now never get to see my sons 1st VIII victory. If they have banned your great service how do they propose that all those people like my sons grandparents that couldn't get to the dam are supposed to watch the race? Alan Kirk [email protected]

Hi Tim, just saw your post on KZbin about not being allowed to share video footage of the GPS Schoolboys 2019 Head of River publicly. As a long time member of the GPS Rowing Community I'd like to remind the 'powers that be' of a few home truths: 1. You are a volunteer and a rowing parent yourself. You don't spend countless hours at the regatta and then late nights editing footage for the money (there is none). You do it for the love of it, and the love of rowing. 2. You provide a fantastic free service to the GPS Rowing community. Not every parent can attend every regatta. We have boarders rowing who's parents are in Central Qld and your service is a 'lifeline' to watching their sons. Most of us have several children doing other sports, so pairing off early on a Saturday morning to go to different sports is the norm. Your service bridges that gap. 3. As far as I'm aware Qld Rowing provide NO video coverage of GPS Regatta events. So I can't see any conflict. 4. If there are Privacy concerns. Then they should state this. All we can hear in the background is the Public Address system coming from the Umpires marquee. You don't publish individual names of rowers. However these details are easily searchable on the Rowing Qld website. So why is a free and much valued service to the Qld GPS Rowing Community being restricted? I encourage all members of the Qld GPS rowing community to voice their concerns and right the wrong here!

Him Tim, You do such a great service by uploading theses videos for us. I know this is the only way many of our boarding families can even see their boys row. Any idea when you will be able to get the first VIII race from HOR yesterday up?

Hi Alan, there's a delay because I've been told that I'm not allowed to post any footage on social media. I haven't go a straight answer as to why yet, just something about Headmaster Agreement and GPS body getting involved. I'm trying to work it out and hope people from other schools contact their Dir.of Rowing and see if they have had the same notice given to them. Frustrating and ridiculous if you ask me. Tim

Hi Tim As a small thank you for the rowing videos you create each week the Nudgee College parent support group would like to supply you complimentary food, drinks and coffee over the day on our hosted regatta on the 23rd of February. You capturing the footage and getting it up on you tube so quick is a great keepsake for our boys and really appreciated by us all.

Thanks for your request. I'll be posting all the games in order of the playing schedule. Next game will be Qld White v WA, then Vic v National Indigenous. It's a bit slow going at the moment as I'm also uploading the full games to Dropbox. So bare with me, the games will be up soon.
