Thinking quickly, and using what little he had on him, he was able to make a fire using only his resourcefulness, a credit card, and a fire starter.

Do you find you have to take the belt off at every airport?? And do you find the customs people to be suspicious of the belt ?

The buckle on mine does not secure well to the belt. I wish it was either sewn or riveted in place so it doesn’t release so easily. The clamp on your buckle looks more substantial than mine. I wonder if I have an older version, idk? I do like the topo buckle. Thank you for the video.

I had a friend mention the same thing the other day and come to find out it's because they were not putting the cut end of the webbing UNDER the latch on the back so thta it closes securely. If that's not clear, please email [email protected] and I'll explain better. I'm betting that is the issue.

Very cool. Never seen a belt like this. Are the inner and outer made from the same material? I wonder what difference it would make if the outside of the belt had a little elastic or spandex in it? (Maybe it does) It would keep things from digging into you (if they do), and perhaps a little larger space. Just thinking. Really cool stuff

The belt won't raise concerns with TSA but prohibited items will (e.g. the ceramic blade) if stashed inside. They almost took my _Resqme_ device because of the tiny sharp blade designed for cutting seat belts but safer than a plastic fork. Foreign security will probably examine the contents. The Mexican airport security examined a plastic thing (about the size of a U.S. quarter coin) I had taped to my plastic belt. Israeli is probably going to take you to a back room. Hopefully they don't put on a glove and ask you to bend over. If you're going through security in airports outside U.S., I would disperse the belt contents throughout my luggage (except for common items found in money belts...cash for example) and reassembling them after clearing any government checkpoint. Pro-tip: carry emergency contact info. in the belt on waterproof paper (embassy locations/numbers, next of kin, rich uncles, hotel addresses, etc.). If you're concerned about thieves, robbers, kidnappers, taking the belt, there are other places/containers/ways to store small items. At some point, one needs to consider if taking such extremes is better than just not going to those places. Best Regards

Agree 100% Wazoo cache belt with adventure kit is a great solution because I can carry basic gear and not even know it's there until I need it. Not just for survival- items in the kit can come in handy any time.
