Love my NS-14 also. Have you made any use of the tone pot in the pulled out position?
@garythomas443110 күн бұрын
I agree that the NS-14 is a fantastic guitar. I have used the up position on the tone control but find it thin sounding and not at all strat sounding. I'm sure I'll fine use for it though. ✌️
@danielconrad76410 күн бұрын
@@garythomas4431 apparently it's a proprietary mid cut (or low cut?) filter as opposed to a split coil tap. I find the difference to be extremely subtle when running clean amps and only really usable for distorted loud tones (to tighten up the distortion).

These Kemo Sabe Boots (made by JB Hill factory they purchased) run a little small. I ordered them in my Brannock size, which is the size I have Rios of Mercedes, but they were too small. I sent them back and went up a half size. Hoping these replacement boots fit.

I’ve always loved that guitar! I remember it in his videos. I even had his album but I don’t think you can get it on Amazon music today. I believe he played it in his video “Havin a Bad Day” or he makes a appearance on Don Johnson’s video “Heartbeat.” Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so very much! I got a lot of help from Balthazar. He is a wonderful human being and a very talented musician. I would send him samples while I was learning the song, and he always gave me good feedback ( positive and negative). This helped me push harder to learn the song to the best of my abilities. ❤

Your "crazy money" USA replica is amazing, and it's likely a good investment if you keep the case candy in mint condition. The joys of it being relic'd is it won't show signs of use. Beautiful! Have you tried the MiM replica? I got one last week for a really good price (£850 new UK). Relic finish is cool - it's my first relic'd guitar, obviously not nitrocellulose paint or anything.

How long you’ve had the guitar for and how does play and feel
@garythomas4431Ай бұрын
I bought that guitar in 2019. Great neck!!! Fairy thin and shallow. The pickups are 57/81 designed by Neal and Paul. I love the 6lb semi hollow body. It plays great Accoustic style, and when cranked up without any feedback. The body is 14" wide and only about 1 inch or so thick, so it is very comfortable. The tiger maple top looks like a tiger eye stone. On the video I'm running through a Fender Deluxe Reverb, and electro Harmonix Holy Grail reverb, and a Strymon Cloudburst modulation. The guitar cost me $5500.

@lboog0907 This would probably be a good time to by. With the crazy politics, a lot of musicians are having to sell equipment. I bought mine during the pandemic and saved a few thousand dollars. Good luck and let me know what you find. I've owned two other PRS guitars that I sold. One was a pre lawsuit single cut. It was beautiful but sounded really thin.

The tan rough-out pair is amazing, but i can see you have a pair of Ariat ATS insoles inside despite sizing down a 1/2 from Lucchese ?
@garythomas44315 ай бұрын
Correct. The added comfort of the ariat insert for wearing for long periods of time is a habit of mine. They are thin inserts, so they don't mess with sizing. Great question.

Disappointingly shallow summary of a bunch of boots, with nary a bit of actual specific info to use in considering boots. Too many old brands have vanished, some deservedly because they switched to fake leather uppers, or really inferior hides that did not hold up. Understanding the older hand construction methods is important, because it differentiates quality even if style is your only interest; just as high end dress shoes are going to be leather soled, so are dressier boots. Exotic hides are giveaways, that the wearer has never swung a leg over a saddle, but there are exceptions. Learning to tell quality leather, especially in the upper and liners, is important.
