Hello! Absolutely fantastic to have you back! I'm so glad you and well and enjoying all your stitching. Thank you for sending me down the rabbit hole of double sided suzhou embroidery and the RSN diploma! How am I going to get anything done today?! 😂 Oh, and also the Christmas Tree kit. It's absolutely stunning and now on my shopping list. It's so lovely to see all your wips and good luck with your Jan finish! Jo x

Half stitch and tent stitches look different on the back side. So they are different even though they look the same in front of the fabric. I actually just learned this today by watching Jean Farish #115. I really enjoyed your video. Im thinking of purchasing a HAED but feel a little intimidated because they’re so large! 🤗 I’m a new follower and I look forward to watching more of your videos! Ps. I like the waste knot idea. Thank you!!

Hello, I'm trying to find an old Mill Hill cross stitch book that was about 15 years old. It had the treasures, buttons, beads, and various types of floss. It was a banner. The top was a witch, and it I think had green face, with purple shiny hairy type thread, and sampler style. Had candy corns, bats, ghosts (buttons and pattern) and was about 2 feet long, and maybe 10 inches wide. I have looked all over the internet and cannot find the book or pattern. Please help?? I don't think it was a kit, but it has been long enough, maybe I've forgotten...Thank you, Michelle

Such a great tutorial video. Very greatly appreciated. I have been away from the cross stitch world more than 30 years. Many changes. I do have QSnaps and did find them better than hoops. I even have a stand, surprisingly never used. I sit in a recliner, not conducive. I recently purchased a lap pvc frame off Amazon (pink/white). It's very good I just wanted it wider instead of taller. It can't work that way and the QSnap extensions will not work with it. The pvc pipes are not the same size. I have ordered a second, so I could make the frame size I prefer. Sadly after ordering, I have learned to do the sewing method. Lol I love the sewing method. Grant you I am on 11 count stamped budget friendly canvas. After 2 strokes I have issues with numbers. Counting would be rough for me now. I am a 61 year old man, blind in one eye since 18 months old. Depth perception has always been a curse for me. That is why I prefer Aida cloth. Even weave or linen I could never use. My favourite count has always been 16. 2 strands of thread always completely covered the square. It is a shock to me how much floss is now. I remember you could get 4 for $1.00. Yeah, it's been awhile. Hehe. My wife does embroidery. We have always used DMC. After watching many videos, I wonder about CXC thread. Many like it and they are cheaper than DMC. Have no idea where to purchase it. I am curious about just using the tent stitch. On maybe 14, 16 or 18 count. We are at the end of life's span so quicker we can get a project done, better for us. Lol Our children can pass on finished projects. Sorry for this lengthy msg. Just want to say thank you for your videos. Your time and energy into them is greatly appreciated. Thank you. God bless you with all your endeavors. One question, where was HAED 30 years ago?

Can you please explain the number of thread when say exp: 25+32.?
@Ceaftnookemporium
@Ceaftnookemporium Жыл бұрын
Hi Amani, that means you need to mix your threads :) so if you are using two strands, you would have one strand of 25 and one strand of 32 together and stitch with it:) this is called Blending x

I recently purchased from eBay the Mill Hill Counted Cross Stitch Kit 3"X2.5"-Ella Phant (14 Count) and the kit comes with 2 shades of green floss and 2 shades of pink floss and the color are really close in color so how do I tell which color is which so I end up stitching the right color instead of stitching the wrong color and when w pattern says to use 3 strands of floss how do you do the loop method with 3 strands of floss instead of having to tie a knot at the end of your floss and also how do you start a mill hill kit so that the piece is even and symmetrical when finished and not wonky and not even so hopefully someone can help me so I can start my project the right way rather then stitching it the wrong way and also I usually do loop method with 1 strand of floss so can you do the loop method on a mill hill kit or do you need to do the recommended number of floss strands recommend in the mill hill kit pattern so hopefully someone can help me before I start my mill hill kit Thanks

Ive taken on a pattern that is 23” x 27” don’t ask me why? I didn’t rally get the magnitude of this until i started ordering supplies. Anyways, i cant wait to start mine after watching your video, i feel pretty prepared. I’m just not sure about where to start on the fabric yikes!!
