I feel your pain.. I've told thousands of people through out 45+ years of mechanics.. You can swap anything mechanical, but the moment you add one wire you are screwed if you don't know the chain of command you will fight for years.... since standalones are incredibly popular (and lots are out there) and easier than the shit from factories, there's one problem that nobody tells you,,, chain of command!!! They must be able to talk to each other,, if not your fucked, and its not worth getting a PhD in programming.. as mentioned in other responses,, turbo lamik figured it out by removing the factory TCU and solder some cross wires and from there his standalone Tcu, can literally talk to analog signals...that is insane.. but it took years for him to figure it out.. We are about to restomod my sons 86 Jag xjs to a 8hp70 with the help of Domiworks plates and a Turbolamik TCU..

Why no mention of the previously "repaired" / taped wires that connect to the rear of the horn pad? Looked like kinda sloppy work. We're there bare/broken wires? Hek, maybe you didn't need a clock spring. Why did you fail to mention the previous attempted repair?

How do you level the both lifts. Mine has half an inch difference when fully up and one closer to the control panel drops more when near to the ground during lowering

@fredallenburge how did you end up finding the 97-99 Maxima sensor worked? The BBK i have interferes with the sensor. This would be perfect if the sensor mounting flange rotated about 20 degrees would be perfect. just wondering if you came across catalog that had dimensions to try and track something down

My Jet Hot coating has worked on some modified cast iron manifolds quite well, going on year 5 on a daily. Regardless, I still have down pipes and now headers on a new build, so would be very interested in something like this.

i tried this now my socket is stuck inside, kinda screwed now Update, got it out; make double sure the socket and extension are super tight; went and got a new one and we will see how it goes!!

Wrap the heat wrap with hvac aluminum tape Thank me later. Waterproof Keeps pipes like new Additional heat shield. Cheap. And keeps fiberglass contained.

You need to try CeraKote. The instructions make it seem dauting, but my success with the product with almost no prep has been awesome. Use a torch to gas it out before spraying or brushing it on and it will stick. I dont make much vids, but I have made several shorts on it. The issue I had the most with wrapping was the itching of my for arms later on.
