My father fished the trawlers locally here in Canada ...cape breton island ..for 34 yrs, the vessels name " Ellen N Fletcher.. They fished off grand banks NFLD . these ships are the same style of trawler. . dads boat was built in the late 1950s

Talked to a few mates over the years and they all told me that its a big gamble on weather you might no make a penny for weeks of dirty hard 16 hour days or a big pay day. God bless & take of our mates & boat captains.

Many moons ago as a cadet I used to get jollies in Nimrod aircraft, they were very prone to causing airsickness, A couple of times only a few hours into it I was sick but thankfully there was only about another 7 hours to go. that poor bloke 8 days to go "lol". brave chaps respect

It's never safe at sea you never know if you going to come home again. And winter really bad. L.ve was a fishermen in the late 70s. L was lucky l got £50 per week was it worth it no. Good luck to the crew thank you for this video mate
