Hamas kidnapped hundreds of people. They are still holding them. Are you proposing some kind of solution to this? Do you want Israel to stop fighting and allow these babies and elderly to remain in captivity? They aren't even allowing the red cross to see the hostages. So you will say: Negotiate. Well, They are demanding Israel release hundreds of terrorists in exchange for the Elderly and babies they are holding. If Israel stops now, is the solution to return these known terrorists back to terrorizing? In what way is this an anti-war stance? You are only encouraging more war. 2. You talk about fish in a barrel. Are you aware that every time the IDF pulled out of an area, said: OK, we are done here, why don't you guys move back in and start rebuilding, IMMEDIATELY rockets are shot from that area to Israeli civilians? Does this fit you metaphor? Is it reasonable to blame Netanyahu for not pulling out? 3. Attacking schools and hospitals: you know that Hamas used Shifa hospital as their base, right? You also know that instead of bombing the hospital, they sent troops on the ground to go from room to room to minimize civilian casualties, maximizing their own casualties. Do you know why Hamas did that? Because that they don't truly care about their civilians, and they trust people with halfpinions will be shocked that hospitals are being attacked, and not bother actually looking into the story. If you can explain how putting boots on the ground in order to avoid killing the local civilians is called "fish in a barrel", that would be appreciated. To me that spells that the IDF care about the civilians more than the Hamas do. And don't get me started about the schools. UNWRA HAVE HELD HOSTAGES!!! They are being paid by the UN to commit war crimes!!! Why is this not the most shocking story?? 4. As to aid - more than 3000 calories a day per capita has been sent into Gaza so far. Do you know why people are starving? Because Hamas won't disperse this food among the civilians. How this is Israel's fault is beyond me. Maybe it's time that people, like you, who care, start putting blame on the people who are not caring for their own. 5. Before you cite numbers from the Hamas's ministry of health about numbers of casualties, you might want to be advised that the UN had to reassess their numbers several times, because that we know that they are lying. I'll give the most blatant example - The Shifa Misfire. Hamas misfired a rocket. Hit the local hospital's parking lot. Two people were injured. By their own fire. Within MINUTES Hamas not only lied that it was Israeli fire (it wasn't), but that they hit the hospital (the shot did not hit the hospital) and that there were 400 dead (there wasn't). There are more examples, but suffice it to say: if you are taking 50,000 from them, you might want to reconsider. This is why I say: 1. If you feel strongly, learn the topic well before stating nonsense. 2. If you wish to solve the problem, truly, you need to have an opinion that is useful. Saying "I oppose war" without suggesting a solution that is reasonable in the real world is not helpful. If you don't do these things, and still state that you "feel strongly" about the situation, people who know the situation better might assume that you are an anti-semite. So I apologize for saying that you are an anti-semite. I hope this explained why that was my impression.

Why Iran decided, long long long before Netanyahu or Gaza or any of this, to invest all of their resources in destroying Israel, is very important question. Hi , no worries I’m always interested in other peoples opinions about what’s happening in America. I feel it’s more to do with their lack of educational standards and parochial outlook as far as history goes. They really don’t tend to look beyond America as far as gauging their place in the world and thanks for the positive feedback about the Nicko , it served me well in some rough seas when I sailed down the east coast. I’ve been to America a few times and love it over there …especially the country music. I went to the Ryman Theatre and saw some of the old timey stars there. Hopefully this will start looking like some sort of Houseboat that I can trailer around to different lakes and rivers soon. Best wishes Phil.
