I had my attorney tell me I had a drs bill. I ended up talking to the drs off and come to find out I do not owe anything from my case . So what happens now with that $ of that medical bill? Does it go back towards my settlement?? They also received the check within a day or two of settling for the amount. Im not saying my attorney is screwing me at because they might have found out too. Sometimes you get a clear policy limits case or at least with something with some meat on it from an injury standpoint. The vast majority of people who make claims are not injured, it's a money grab for the attorney and ;the claimant. Hell, most times, it's the lawyer that arranges "medical care" at a chirocracker's office.

Great vid I’ve been combing the net for answers and I’m still confused smh I signed release forms on feb 8 it’s now march 6 so I called in for an update was told the check is in a trust fund till Medicaid replies to a request letter the attorney sent, he said every client goes through it and Medicaid has 180 days to reply…. So I ask is it normal to wait months after settlement was reached? 6 month possible wait after settlement is that standard? I’m so confused cause I keep reading I should be paid in 4 to 6 weeks after release forms were signed, then I’m being told it may take up to 180 days or so for the request form to Medicaid to be replied to is this normal…I’m in nyc btw thanks

My case was pretty simple.....I settled out of court two weeks ago.....I was told I'd get a call to come down to the lawyers office to sign the check. I'm assuming that should be soon? I have Medicaid so I know they'll put a lien on what is owed to them...my attorney gets 40 percent ...then I get the remainder.

We all know a judge here in laffeyette county that has local lawyers doing her bidding. KR has screwed so many law abiding citizens their livelihood for trumped up charges. It's true, but often doctors become complacent and arrogant, and they just take a quick look at whatever it is and make a snap judgement that it's just the thing they see all the time, trying to basically speedrun their patients.

QUESTION: How does the court go about notifying claimants of the Interpleader case (especially when one of the claimants is difficult to locate/is unresponsive)? What is their process? Certified letter to last known address? Hand deliver via Sheriff? Ads in the statewide newspaper? Do you have any insight on this??
