My special needs son really likes the Madison Railroad he thinks they should restore the 6% gradient that runs down to the Ohio River and connects to the Louisville and Indiana Railroad who they can also interchange with and should consider acquiring a geared steam locomotive ⚙🚂 like a Shay, Climax, or Hiesler because they were built for steep gradients like the Madison incline.

@@jacobleukhardt2323 Ah. I chased a southbound on the 29th with the same power and ran into a pair of folks I didn't recognize. Thanks for the clarification.

Very evocative video, Jacob!! And very rare (to have video of a steam loco operating at night). Thank you!! Some really great shots, including the pacing. It was a real pleasure to watch from start to finish.

Nice video. Thanks for creating and posting it. Enjoyed watching the complex moves of industrial switching. Far more interesting than double stacks fly by on tangent mainline track. Went to Carnegie Tech. Watched the B&O run through Panther Hollow on those same tracks. Looking forward to your next production.

So surprising (but a pleasant surprise) that this little shortline is still able to keep business going, especially with the economic state that West Virginia is in. I hope it sees many more years.

Leetsdale is an awesome spot to railfan at for many reasons. How often do you get to railfan there?

Thank you. Another fine video from my home region in Somerset County. My grandfather was the B&O Yardmaster in Somerset. I live in Michigan now, but always enjoy seeing trains on the ex-B&O trackage.

How do you view the tracks? Because there isn’t really any public access
@jacobleukhardt2323 Жыл бұрын
Low Line Road, which runs the original alignment of the B&O from PawPaw to Orleans Rd, is a public road so anyone who has a high clearance vehicle can drive the road and access these spots in the Magnolia Cutoff

Great video! I'm from Somerset, PA, now live in Michigan. Watched many B&O trains roll through Rockwood and WM trains running across the Casselman River bridge. Thanks for the memories. Ted in Michigan.

I rode the first trip this engine ran on the KJ after it had been restored... while sad knowing Armstrong County no longer has its own tourist railroad, its nice to know that the 126 lives on and stil earns its keep on the Everett, and that 7135 sits on display in Schenley, reminding visitors of what once was.
