I had one of these in the 70’s. Got it from a store called Spencer’s Gifts in the mall. It was a prized possession, along with my black light and posters

My parents had this exact model, I remember them putting a stack of records on the record player spindle. Wish we still had that thing, would be amusing to show my grandkids. "What is this, Grandpa?" Oh the stories I could tell. Saw Neil Armstrong walk on the Moon on that TV. We had that thing for a LONG time. Not sure what happened to it. I'd ask Mom but ... well, she's having memory troubles these days.

I would like to see if anyone knows how to clean these up...Our rental house has one and it's very dusty but it does turn on .
@AtomicSpaceJunkVideoАй бұрын
There should be screws on the front. Unscrew them and you should be able to remove the cover, then go in with a toothbrush and vacuum cleaner hose to get the decades worth of dust out. If its really dirty, you could also wipe it out with a damp microfiber cloth, just be sure to turn off the power to it first, and let it dry thoroughly before use!!! If your cover is stainless steel, you can buff it with #0000 steel wool and it will look bright and shiny again. If its aluminum, just wash with soap & water. If its still spotty or hazy, you can use aluminum polish (I use "Mother's" brand mag and wheel polish). Hope this helps!

I pivot between wonder, amazement and laughing at these sounds. Def innovative and sounds like modern guitar. He knew his fundamentals and traditional playing styles too, so this is a master transcending the usual technique. Picking when to use such wild tones is half the battle

This is brilliant. This was after they went supersonic, which had a real impact on the American Hardcore scene which thrived between 1982-87. I met Dave and the Captain when they played in Philly in 2001. Great fellas. My buddy was spraying sillystring all over them, they had a good humor about it, the Capt had never seen sillystring before!

'Electronic guitar'? Is that better than an electric guitar? Is there stuff in the guitar (not the pedals on the floor) that's messing with the electrons, not just converting electrical energy into sound energy? In 1984? Crikey!

We had this in the 80s up until around 2000. I found that in the 90s, the power of the microwave was less. Microwave popcorn took longer in this microwave than my friend's new model.

BOUGHT THIS MODEL NEW IN 1978. IT JUST STARTED MAKING ELECTRICAL SPARKS LIKE EERY GASEY, LUMINUS WAVES INSIDE THE CABINET THAT YOU COULD SEE THROUGH THE CLOSED DOOR WINDOW. WHILE COOKING. MY MICROWAVE HAS WORKED FLAWLESSLY SINCE FIRST USE....AND WITH MANY MANY USES A DAY!! DONT KNOW IF HAVING IT SERVIICED NOW WITH SO MANY YEARS OF USE, ALONG WITH THE EXPENCE WOULD BE WORTH IT, EXCET 4 THE RESPECT AND ADMIRATION FOR ITS DURIALIBILITY AND LONGETIVITY, AND THE GREAT MEMORIES IT HAS BROUGHT US OVER SOOO MANY YEARS. ITS ALMOST LIKE PART OF THE FAMILY!

Thank you for sharing this! Its crazy that there is no such thing anymore as an appliance that would last 40+ years. Nowadays we just expect our kitchen appliances to last about 10 years before we take them straight to the landfill.

Univox amps are still a dream for me, as they're nearly impossible to find in France or Europe. I recently had a lot of fun with a Univox PHZ-1 phase shifter (relabelled BST LM-200 in France). My experimentations are available on my channel if you'd like to give it a look.
