Creo que es un muy buen film. Jean es un personaje muy difícil para entender. Ese cuidado que pone por un lado para ocultarse, y el descuido por otro lado siendo parte de una comunidad tan distinta a ella en su apariencia y costumbres. No me parece Viv (que exhibe exageradamente su condición, lesbiana masculinizada) la pareja para una persona como ella. Recién comprende, el no asumir su naturaleza, cuando la situación la lleva a tener que tomar decisiones. Por ello, la escena en la reunión familiar cuando se atreve a decirle a un extraño frente a su cuñado quién es, luego sale y llora liberada. Sobre el final, cuando llega al colegio, la realidad la espera ¿cuál decidirá vivir?

Paul Mescal always defers to those he works with…and in interviews with co-star Frankie he always looks to her, inviting her to comment…giving her space because she is new to all of this. He is a generous person…and actor. This one upset me…Charlotte has made a very meaningful film that leaves you dwelling on a mix of images and feelings…Calum crying agonisingly, his affection for Sophie as he puts sunblock on her shoulders, and the last scene where we are left to imagine the outcome, knowing how Sophie is not fully cognisant of her father’s depression and mental distress, but there’s hints of her own (possible future) vulnerability. The human condition played out before us. This film will endure. 🐑🐑🇳🇿🇳🇿NZ

Two great Liverpool actors who both have the ability to speak in many world accents. Even Jodie isn't using her scouse accent in this, whereas Stephen does.

That mention about saying hello and thank you to the crew because they’re there long before and after you, was definitely from this piece of paper that Henry Rollins left at a couple for venues. it’s totally true and though and I love hearing it from Stephen Grahams himself, he’s fully rooted himself in as a man of the people.
