I dredged the same spot the year before, looks like you went about 2 ft past our hole, I was taking out 2 ft of bedrock, didnt find much on sides.. mostly a little area down through the gut...Got a nice big nugget in there.. supposed to be well over 100 ozs on that bar... over an oz a day most days is what I was led to believe.. I did about the same as you... gave it all to owners, came home with nothing but memories.. we had heavy smoke from fires, lightning storms.. nature tried everything to shut us down.... had a great time, Circle Hot Springs was a highlight... But I find better gold right here at home....... Happy Camp,Ca..

that was good to learn of the camp for members there! beautiful country. but how was the gold?
@goldprospectingwith3mm3223 жыл бұрын
As with any creek or mine site, ore production rates cannot be predicted due to the elusive nature of gold. But With the guidance of Jesse and Kathy, you will be offered a few locations that have been past producers gold. OroGrande Creek still has plenty of gold, we averaged 3 tenths of a gram per hour this past year (see S3E14 for a recap of our season) With lots of 10 mesh size pieces. Bedrock depth ranges from 1 to 2 feet in some areas to 10 feet in others. Hope this helps you. If you want to dredge this area be sure to have all your paper work done by April 1st. You will need an EPA permit from the IDEQ and an IDWR dredge permit specifically for OroGrande Creek. You may have to do a USFS plan of operations and will have to coordinate with the USFS fisheries biologist prior to dredging. Good luck.

As a mining supply shop, we help new folks get in to mining. But,for us, the most important and rewarding part of our job is KEEPING miners mining. This a GREAT video! Thanks! Armadillo Mining Shop

We would not have had the great season we did without Armadillo Mining Shop! As we mention in Ep. 5 and tell Lanny in Ep. 7 Armadillo Mining Shop is the best. Samantha is the air compressor guru! She explaned all the steps to get the T80 fixed and running again. Thank you Sam🙂

Thanks for this. Brand new GPAA member. Wanting to take my family out here this summer to try my first prospecting. Any tips on how to find maps, understand access and which claims are GPAA accessible?
@goldprospectingwith3mm3223 жыл бұрын
Hello. Glad you found this helpful. As far as which claims to try and accessability, your best information is on the GPAA website, www.goldprospectors.org/testpage/GPAAClaimDirectory There you will find location, directions, comments and accessability. You can also access topographic maps online from the USGS. Be aware of claim boundries as this is an active mining district. Hope this helps. Good luck prospecting. 👷🏼♂️👷🏻♀️
