Perfect size for ss and 600 Watts 👍. I just saw a chef yesterday on KZbin say to create non stick ss all you do is put a little oil in the pot/pan then heat it up and pour out oil then add a little ecold oil in the heated pot and nothing will ever stick. I haven't tried it yet but that's how they season a wok too. It was literally a Tablespoon or less that he used. I hope this helps😊

I've been looking at both of these appliances, trying to decide if the steamer one is worth the extra money and gives you more cooking options. Any thoughts?

I stay in hotels that tend to have breakfast bars who generally have butter so I can usually get a little butter. Also if I’m traveling and plan to cook in the hotel room I generally bring ingredients for the things I plan to make. Cuz I think butter would be nice to bring if I was hoping to make cookies. I usually bring a lunch bag sized cooler with me and blue ice cuz I travel with my kitty and need to bring her homemade food. But these look good made as is. Chocolate chip cookie waffles sounds like a nice treat while on the road

An egg boiler is limited to lower temps (boil = 212F) and it takes forever (inefficient) to transfer enough heat to make hot water, which probably will never boil. May I suggest another way? Use your mini griddle! It gets to several hundred degrees and will cause the water to rather quickly boil. Please get a laser thermometer (Harbor Freight?) and you'll be much more accurate in your videos. Please keep up the good work. I'm actively searching all my thrift stores for new equipment.

I have already made a video about how to boil water on a dash mini griddle. The purpose of this video is to illustrate whether or not it can be done on an egg boiler.

Always always always rinse your rice. Disregard the package directions telling you not to.
@CounterCooking
@CounterCooking 6 сағат бұрын
if the rice is enriched, then rinsing it rinses off all of the vitamins that were added to it. That is the reason why they say not to rinse it. That is not for all rice, but only for enriched rice.

Thanks so much for this video. I made this in my 8” Dash today for lunch. Who knew you could make biscuits in a Dash griddle. I made mine thin and as large as I could make them and I had some leftover chicken salad from Monday and I just cut them in half moons and made it into a sandwich. Wow, was it tasty.

Good to know, thanks for sharing. I love that little rack, of course it's one that you randomly found somewhere, that's how we find the best little accessories, right? lol PS I suspect that residue in the bottom is from the water. If you're using city/municipal water that's the sort of residue we can expect--which is why I haven't used it for drinking or cooking for 35 years. Steam distilled is the way to go--pure H2O. :)
@CounterCooking

The residue on the bottom is starch from the potato because I do not get that residue when I’m using filtered water.
@wrylife57

@@CounterCooking ok, did not know you used filtered water. Not sure how the starch would get out of that pouch though, especially the first round when you folded and wrapped t so well.

Never thought to make golden berries into a salsa. I love mango or melon or peach salsa. I love eggs with zucchini. Tho I tend to make zoodles with some parsley, green onions, and cheese. Then pour beaten egg over it for a quick omelet.

I have a salton hot plate. I use it to heat up items or even slow cook my food then to keep it warm for an extended time. It makes the best slow cooked cream of wheat. I get up and put the ingredients together and get in the shower. I come out and stir it then get dressed and the cream of wheat is cooked and not lumpy. And I didn’t have to stand over it stirring it constantly. I’ll be these would make great cream of wheat

I use the larger 8" Dash for all my egg stuff. I don't know why I haven't made a quesadilla or taco with it yet, but now that I see it, I will. I wanted to suggest putting the folded taco back on the Dash for a minute and letting that cheese melt. I bet you could get both of them on there. Also, add some taco seasoning to the eggs. I've looked at a few of your videos now; good work! I've had my Dash for years and don't do as much with it as I could.

I bought a bunch of the Dash cookers - I make my egg waffles with PorQ Panko crumbs 1 egg + 1/8 C crumbs, mix well + cook in waffle maker. Use my bunt one with cake mixes. My pie one for pot pies and dessert pies (cover edges w/foil to avoid burning) 4 years and all still work!

Thanks :) I'll check my local Hmart. I'm looking for something to put in my little (4 rice cup max) Aroma multi cooker/rice cooker so I can steam things in a deeper bowl or plate. The clearance between the steaming rack and the lid doesn't let me steam little cakes and things that rise.

I've been watching your videos for about a week, and you inspired me to get a egg bite maker (which I thought would be more versatile than the griddle). I'm curious if you have ever tried to steam eggs using a steam basket on a rice cooker with a timer. Is the advantage to this that you measure the water and it auto shuts off? Perhaps there is a bigger difference I'm not considering.

I know what it's like to buy an appliance and then be disappointed by it so I hope my videos are helpful for people who are considering different appliances. I also have lived in apartments with very small kitchens and/or limited space and it is definitely good to have appliances that can be used for many different purposes. What kind of RV do you have? I think it would've cooked a lot faster if you used less parchment and less foil. Next time try only a sleeve of parchment and just enough foil to wrap it securely without so much excess on the ends to fold over and it should steam very nicely. That's how I cooked frozen fish and it worked great. They are so much fun to cook with. Thank you for sharing and have a great day 😊
