Where did you get a board that levels like that?
@AndysArtLab13 күн бұрын
I 3D printed these adjustable height support feet. They work really well to level your artwork. I found with having a silicone matt the feet stick and it makes it easy to make small ajustments. www.printables.com/model/920145-adjustable-height-support

crinkle of the vinyl wrap and put it on the bottom of the resin before you pour it that will help with bubble and holding the plastic down, thats what i have seen done i have never done it lol but i watched a person do it anyway

Hi, quite an informative video and you answered some of my queries, but what I am most interested in knowing is (and I am specifically asking about solid casting) how it feels in the hand? how durable is it? Does it have a plastic finish, or is it more like stone? Is it solid or is there some squidgyness to it?
@AndysArtLab4 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching. The result for a solid casting is hard and solid. Its more like glass than plastic, as most silicone molds you cast into have a gloss finish so it has that glass look to it as a result. Made a response video for you kzbin.info7743qjRy0tc

@AndysArtLab5 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment. First you need to tape the underside with painters tape to make sure you can remove any drips once it's dry. Next you need to make sure that it's 100% level so the resin runs off the edge evenly. If you have gaps you can run your gloves hand around the edge to make sure it's all covered with resin. I hope this helps.

I do pour painting and I’ve never seen anyone trying to blow the design out with a heat gun , the heat gun is only used to pop the bubbles , people usually use the hair dryer then let it dry before applying resin to protect the design
@AndysArtLab5 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching. You are correct a heatgun is great at removing air bubbles. I find with a fast cure resign if its starting to cure while pouring the extra heat the heat gun provides over a hairdryer makes it a bit more viscous again to blow it a little further. I find that you have a little more control with a heatgun over a hairdryer in pushing the hotair as well, however I use a hairdryer at times as well.

Sir, is there any such chemical available that if a design is made on a wet cloth with a roller, it will remain the same?
@AndysArtLab5 ай бұрын
If the cloth was stuck to some kind of backing like wood then you could coat it in Epoxy Art Resin and it would protect it. You would have to watch for airbubbles and use a blue flame to pop them.
@nopochoclos5 ай бұрын
My god you use 6 liters to coat... you need to paint it with a tiny ammount and put the piece on a rotary tool ( slow ) like microwave motor to spread the resin perfect. Sorry for my english
@AndysArtLab5 ай бұрын
Your English is fine. Yes I agree I wasted so much resin. This used a lot of resin and it was a bit of an experiment to see if I could get a 3D printed vase to have a nice resin coating. I later learned the trick was to let the resin partially set before pouring.
@nopochoclos5 ай бұрын
@@AndysArtLab No problem!! all learn ffrom errors and other experiences, when i see the video haha i can´t stop you, i start to try the same. i see the chemical heating of the resin almost no affect at all the pla printings, i need to try too acrilic paint under resin...

Hello I've been looking at a lot of videos about 3D printers, resin, and all that stuff. I was curious what would be recommended for making a figure type model like a toy that can move its arms or legs for example?
@AndysArtLab6 ай бұрын
Yes you can 3d print articulated figures with arms and legs that move. I haven't done this myself but have seen others that have. If you google "articulated arms and legs 3d printing" you will find some good examples. I hope this helps
