The mysterious knob was not the headlights. It was the timing advance. The headlight switch is between the climate control knobs below the radio. 👍

I had one of those in 1980 it was mettleflake purple and I haggled the car lot down from $1000 to $500 when I had to push it back from a test drive. Then it had to be towed when me and a friend went on a joyride up the Willamette Pass. It had carburetor issues. I traded it for a Chevy van. I should have kept it. It was a blast to drive.

The hardware for autopilot 1 began to be installed starting in 9/2014 vehicles. AP1 did transfer to the new owner.
