Could I ask you where in Pelham Bay Park is most likely for deer sightings, in terms of the closest bus stop? I understand the park is 2,772 acres, and obviously there is no sense in starting from scratch…
@WildNewYork3 ай бұрын
Hunter Island for sure! The BX 12 will drop you at the southern portion of the park- from there it’s quite the walk to Orchard Beach and Hunter Island, but it’s a great walk for wildlife. Osprey, Turkey Vultures, Great Horned Owls, and coyotes if you’re lucky!
@CentralParkBigfoot2 ай бұрын
@@WildNewYork I spent some time on the map, and realized, for Hunter Island, I would need to ride. With public transportation alone, if I start at Westchester Ave, which is the Bx12 stop for the park, by the time I get to Pelham Bay Bridge, let alone Turtle Cove, I’ll begin to having second thoughts, and it’s still ways away from the parking lot. But the good news is that the city will host a group tour specifically for deer sightings on November 24 at none other than Hunter Island. Thank you for the valuable tip! Deers are a majestic creature, and I know their gazes will blow me away.

This bird is a regular in a particular spot in Alachua County, Florida where I became a birdwatcher. For me this spot is a little hard to get to, but I was so thrilled to finally see a few of them there last year. They're such striking, beautiful warblers.

My bummy neighbors have racoons and possum living out of their backyard for years now🤦🏽♀️. I saw a Sow with 3 kits coming out my garden last summer 2021. The possum been there since 2018. Calling 311 is a joke here in NY. My neighbors are joke as well and him being an ongoing drug addict is no help. Anyway you're video has been very helpful for me thanks 😊.
