I still rather use lead, its nicer to look at and easier to detail than Ubiflex.. Also this stuff is so expensive that the guy installing it can't even afford a proper sweater..

looks like a nightmare to shape into the tiles there ! can see the advantage over lead for straight runs and upstands but for workability into fine details like that particular tile lead would be favourable.

It looks not easy to shape particular material and I wander how they shaped the corner. However, lead is harmful to anything live. This video is 10 years old. Now there are more flexible materials.

Looks good, but there are some unanswered questions about it. What is its lifespan? As it's made of bitumen, I guess it will be similar to traditional flat roof materials, about 10-15 years. If that's the case the additional labour cost, to replace it several times, over the life of a comparable lead flashing, would negate any material cost saving. How does it stand up to stretching over profiled tiles and at 90° turn-ins to the wall? Will micro tears develop and compromise the material. How do you remove the glue that holds the free edges down, when the material is at the end of its life? Will this risk breaking or staining the tiles or slates.

Benzknees id say it starts deteriorating in a year, just fix the lead correctly and it will last a life time
