I'm a OBGYN and even I use pads no inanimate objects in me.but I have used tampons at least three times . For me pads are safest,easiest but I don't judge patients who use tampons..whatever u are comfortable with and depends the activity.

@@Carousel5883 as an OBYN, you would know that a tampon is a safe as a pad especially if you insert it well. There is no harm in using one. No one should be discouraged from trying it.
