This is a long shot, but do you know what happened to this game? I went down the rabbit hole and found lots of bits and pieces of it still on the gamecrafter, but a lot of products are randomly marked as "Not For Sale" (a lot of these very packs in fact). Can't email the creator because his inbox is full...The game is pretty cool though!

thanks for the review, and just bought the game. What other 10/10 solo war games do you recommend? I prefer medium to heavy games, thanks !

Thanks. It was hard for me to find a short video of this game being unboxed. Love the look of the game :)

States of Siege games are much the same , the best one is probably Ottoman Sunset or Zulus on the Ramparts.

Watching this 10 years later to the day. As far as I can tell this is the only video on this game. A good overview.

Digging around for older games i found this. I will give the creator of the game credit, they combined many different common concepts. Quickstrike playmat/zones, Pokémon power system, "lifedecking". The game is probably as popular as it is due to a front-facing of common/similar ccg ideas. The art really sells it, but trying to navigate which products to get is a little haphazard.

I do like the mechanics I saw here, pretty varied like Battle Spirits, in mixing up the tcg mechanics. I will probably pick this up at some pt. I remember Tom Vassel said, He'd rather play magic than this, but I personally like varied tcg experiences.

Generally in motorsport the ‘soft’, ‘medium’, ‘hard’, etc refers to the rubber compound rather than how much air is in the tyre

Good review! I have this game, played it a couple of times. Love the strategy part, it is very realistic and complex. The biggest disadvantage is the 18 steps of each combat...😫 But one more positive thing u forgot to mention is that each unit is an existing type of armor/infatry/artillery that they used in WWII, all the famous tiger tanks, fallschirmjägers etc.. if you like this area, it gives a big bonus! But if we would rename the unit cards, it could be played with modern warfare also. Because it is basically the same strategic points, artillery, armored vehicles, andvantages of different types of infantry

Thx for putting this up, used it for new players for boardgame night and worked quite well. My wife prefers the streamlining and symbol-based play of the Tactics version, but I like the depth of the original.

I understand that now, but you have a good opportunity to demonstrate how severely lefties have been discriminated against in modern society as well as back through history. We have always been thought of as evil or demonized or mentally ill people. Just the word left in some cultures means something evil, possessed or demented. There have been cultures that would cut off the right hand of a criminal so that anybody seen using their left hand in public was a known Criminal. Even in our modern society being left-handed is one of the few things that it is perfectly legal to discriminate against. Everywhere you go, everything you do is influenced by right-handed people only. Left-handed people have to make adjustments or change the way they do things to learn it right handed when we should not have to. Even everything on my smartphone is designed only for right-handed people. You cannot set up a phone or any applications on it for left or right hand operation. Right hand operation they referred to as "right-side-up, forward, normal, or something similar. Left-handed operation is listed as upside down backwards reversed or some other derogatory remark. Check it on your own phone. If they were treating other races of people like this they would be sued right off the face of the planet. We should not have to put up with it either. I have even seen parents slap their left-handed child for using their left hand in a restaurant. That made me Furious. I felt like going over and slapping the crap out of the parents. It has also been proven that if you force a child to use their non-dominant hand with things that it can affect their reasoning and thinking processes in a negative way, maybe even for the rest of their life. Many presidents, world leaders, brilliant scientist and inventors have been left handed. We need to demand our rights in everything just like other people and races have done. Check out the left-handed websites. Seriously, if they would treat us as equals, it would make things so much better for everybody, especially those that only have a left hand. P.s. I seriously hope that I have not embarrassed or offended you in any way. That is not my intention.

Honestly, it is a learned skill, but you also need to be flexible to your audience. A good way to practice, is most games have some sort of cheat sheet or rules outline on BGG. You can print that out and practice explaining it.
