This would have really been a novelty if The Wrecking Crew did the instrumental.

I have the album, Mad Twists Rock and Roll, and my favorite song is, 'She's got a nose job', followed by 'Even it I live to be twenty two, I'll always remember being young'.

In 1980, the song was re-recorded for the disco flexi-disc which accompanied a special disco edition of MAD magazine.

People would actually send photos of their children who looked like Alfred E Newman to the magazine. They were very proud of this fact. And the photos actually did look maybe 90% like Alfred E Newman.

OMG😂 about 3 months ago for no particular reason I thought about the record! I’m 72 years old now. I googled it and couldn’t believe it was there!! I played it of course and cracked up all over again! In this day and age, they’d probably allow farting!!

This was the start of the craziness of the sixties. I remember I was about 17 and when I bought this issue this was inside! It was good for a laugh and passing it around! Music was starting the psychedelic Era! And in 1968 I would find myself in the Marine Corps and on my way To Vietnam!

This is a first; in my lifetime, that a record was inserted in a magazine and didn't raise the price as far as I could remember. $0.25 Cheap. They had stickers, funny labels, and other things added now and then. What a crew of people they had contributing to all of that nonscience going on. I wonder if they ever had a scratch and sniff issue? Mad is still going strong after all of these years. How ridiculous is that? What Me, Worry?

This came out in 1963. They ("The Bunch of Usual Idiots") created another classic ( same "format") called:. "She Got A Nose Job" ( Now She's the Prettiest Girl in Town). It had to be played @ 33 1/3 RPM, even though it was the size of a 45. I got in trouble because I would (gently?) force the arm on our Magnavox stereo "over" to play it. My Dad was pissed!!! He (my Dad) hated it. I went to summer camp with a kid that could burb "on command". I was so jealous. I acquired that "skill", when I "grew up"? If my kids would have brought this home, I would have sang / burped right along with it!!!!

I had this record & I assume the magazine that it came in... a very thin plastic/vinyl record... I think I had to tape it to the turntable so it would lie flat & play better... I would play it with my three younger brothers and we would howl with laughter... mainly because we always played it at a higher speed... I always wondered what happened to it... I suspect my mother through out all my Mad magazines and comic books at some point... I wish I was smarter back then & saved all my cool stuff in a safe place !

When I got this Mad Magazine it was a thin black plastic record within the pages.. It was square but the cut was, of course, round out to the borders. I forget what speed it was to be played. I forgot the year as well. Anyone remember?
