wrong country, this is in Canada, but still this is legal under the US constitution if done correctly.

Legit i see a cop roadblock anywhere guess i aint going that way. If i sped or was on a road from a high publicity concert id understand why id be pulled. But randomly setting up roadblocks just to see if people are dui or speed checkpoints i turn away. everytime

just be carful when you make your U turn or else they will go after you. thats RS right there. @@kodywootton7472 Also these checkpoints where only conducted on Friday and Satruday nights durning the holiday season they dont happen very often outside special events or known holidays where folks drink.

I thought the courts ruled that these kinds of checkpoints were illegal.

incorrect. unless the driver is doing something to raise 'resonable suspision' you are 100% free to pass throught the checkpoint with out any futher issue. ie Smell of alcohol or admiting to having a drink earlier. - Expired tags or inspection stickers, though not the goal for RIDE could also land you speaking with an officer.
@raymondedge88899 ай бұрын
Your absolutely correct as far as "Reasonable suspicion" goes. It's just that way too many cops are getting exposed for planting drugs or using the reason that they "Smelled pot" that personally I have an issue with. Also it's akin to a Dictator type government demanding "Papers". Just imho. @@JPOC226

@@JPOC226 They shouldn't be allowed to stop every car going down a particular road just because they are going down a particular road. Saying you are free to pass if you don't raise further suspicion is nonsense. Texas may be messed up in a multitude of ways but I am glad we don't put up with this crap.
@JPOC2269 ай бұрын
@@GarettTrietsch it might be different with State Laws, but as far as the US Constitution goes this is legal. Also, this was shot in Canada... Canadian Rights And Freedoms are basically 95% the same as the US bill of rights with the exception of the 2nd and those rights that pertain to allowing each state to do their own thing. The rights of the people are very much the same for the most part.
