My exact vacuum. Weird, I took the risk and washed and removed the old bag. Now I can swear the succsion is better!

The 1CB looks and sounds great! In case you're interested in dating it here are the letter codes of the serial numbers: M= July - December 1973 (Gold Bag) N= January - September 1974 (Pinstriped Bag) P= October 1974 - September 1975 (Diamondback Bag) R= September 1975 - June 1976 (Diamondback Bag)

+Matt Jones I like how you filmed the inside of the bag and dumped it out. I converted my D80 to using a disposable bag system, because I have allergies and asthma. But, before I did, I would take it outside and open the Sani-Emptor door and turn it on and shake/ smack the bag several times while it was blowing out the filth.

Yes, it is for the Classic III. The original Omega handle grip (rosewood brown) is part #173373, and originally the cord/bag bracket was in back and not on the side facing the bag, and the grip was also a two-piece design with six screws holding the two halves together.
