@@stifffingers I watched the whole video and I gotta say you play pretty well but you seem to be in the mindset of doing damage. Sohei has lower base damage so you won’t do very well just attacking the enemy. Your anti gank is pretty much perfect. Playing defensively and taking your time to get revenge. The thing to remember is that you need to get all the souls and then you’re a real threat. Also the one shot isn’t super relevant except in certain cases. It’s almost always better to keep them since your 3rd feat makes you do higher damage as long as you have them, not to mention that the enemy can’t be as aggressive since you have a huge punish if they get parried (the forward dodge bash is guaranteed on any parry and guardbreak). Getting the souls is a matter of mindgames. As you know any GB gives 3 souls unless interrupted but it’s also worth noting that you can use any finisher off of a parry. Light parry gives heavy and heavy parry gives light but you can also just use a heavy after a heavy parry and force a 50/50 on the enemy, either let it fly or feint into GB which again gives you the most souls. Zone is for trading and putting them into a 50/50 both during the zone and the follow up. Dodge bash guarantees either a light or heavy so it’s a great way to access whatever finisher you want. Getting souls is easiest in a 1v1 so try farming souls whenever you’re not in a gank. While being ganked, play like normal. Block, parry, dodge, get revenge etc. while ganking with a teammate, pressure the enemy with slow heavy attacks that you may or may not let fly, your heavy finishers can pin which allows follow up damage. You get the idea. TLDR: getting souls is your main focus. Until then you play defense and charge your souls when the opportunity arises. While you have souls, don’t use them unless necessary. At tier 4 assuming you use soheis own feats and have charged the souls beforehand you have more damage and 2 one shots or 2 full heals. But again only in emergency. Play with teammates and you excel at 1v1 so use that to your advantage.
