This is not how Vincent painted. Lots of things wrong here but he didn’t tint his canvas and he didn’t use medium.

1:50 That's almost black you put on there. Nature has no black. It's hard to recover from or paint around. Get a bigger briush at the start, #5 to #7. If I did what you are doing here, I would have to forget things I have learned and found rewarding in the last 40 years.

Great work! I was trying to get these shades but my painting instructor told me to get them with only black, white and sienna, it was a very frustrating experience, looking at your video I am now confused, my original thought was similar to your method, I think my instructor just left me hanging. Your video is the actual instruction I needed 🙌
