Hey that's me @2:53 ! 😅 Lol, we were trying to get a squad mate back into the group after drifting off. This attack caused the squad leader to literally remove our squadron from TAW in a fit of rage, and quit. 🤣🤣🤣

No we don't do that in our campaign. You get hit you can't just log off you try to get your aircraft back or bail.

Unfortunatly, in IL-2 Multiplayer, if a pilot is killed in his cockpit the plane will despawn on its own within ~10 seconds. Nothing we can do about it.

That is unfortunately not possible, he would need to have the records of the other pilots. But I for example don’t record during the missions because of performance issues.

I usually play in 1440p and then make these into 4K. I like 1440 over 1080 because its easier to identify planes and makes the whole gaming experience much better IMO. Its easier to spot if you play in 1080, but the game doesn't look as nice.

It's different for sure. It feels more like an airplane flying compared to planes in IL-2. It's worth the try. Lots of fun.

I mean like FPS mean 1% etc. I have flown DCS jets a bit, but got put off by how bad performance was in multiplayer. A good dogfight involved everyone on the server getting sub 40 fps before@@satchel3307

Nice. I haven't got this game working, but I am very interested of this game. More complex systems, less arcade. Managing everything is more interesting than quick take-offs to furballs. Taking of and flying should be a feat itself.

Nice video. I have some questions if you wouldn't mind helping me out with. Ive been playing Il2 for a good few years casually on and off. Im very proficient on Berloga and other servers where targets are labelled. I am struggling with combat box. One I take off, dont know where to fly to or stay safe on route to my confused destination. I keep checking my 6 constantly. I then either cannot catchup with the German aircraft or get jumped from behind without even seeing the enemy. Its incredibly frustrating I feel almost like giving up trying on such servers. I also have the Normandy addon and cannot even find any mp servers where you can patrol the channel in mp. Can you please help me with some advice or info as to what I can I do get a foot-hold to becoming a somewhat level where I can stay alive. Thanks in advance. I watch such videos and it looks so easy.....but then in reality its so much harder than it looks. Oh I must state that I do have a head tracking device but I use lately VR. I hear so many so its much easier and better to spot but then others say the opposite..Im not sure if this is a good idea or not, Its great immersion and I feel it can help in Berloga but honestly Im not sure if its a good thing overall in mp or a hindrance.

Usually on the Combat-Box discord are friendly people you can start flying with. Flying alone on a Server like Finish or Cobo is almost a death sentence. Since no navigation markings are available on those servers, you should know the basics of VFR flying - means you navigate with things you can identify your position with, like shapes of forests, rivers and cities. Before taking of, take a brief look at the map and aknowledge some points on your planned route you could use as markers, for example cities or lakes you will pass on route. When flying alone, even though not recommended, climb to some high altitude - 20.000ft or above. Than you have also some altitude to dive away from if shit hit the fan. Most important --> Speed is life!

7.65mm are not very effective on aircraft. During WWII America used 14.5mm or 50cal. browning machine guns standard on all aircraft fighting the Japanese empire. America fought the Japanese from 1941- 1945. Germany 480+- days.
