Question: can you make an ART go on 11 meters CB? Only thing is it has to make a minimum of150% modulation to be at all heard on that band.....

As all us kids knew, whenever any of our fathers or uncles who were a ham and had an ART-13 in working condition, the unit would operate on the AM radio band So all you needed was a long wire up a tree and you could compete with Alan Freed or any R&R DJ in your area or drown out the preacher's on Sunday! or get your friends and have a "talk show on saucy subjects. Hey we were kids and it was the 50's So.......

I bought the ART-13 from Stephen in 2015, Seth KC2WE. I still have it with a new homebrew power supply. This video is from 2015.

Hey Seth, I just bought a ART-13 thats in nice condition, but have no idea if it works properly as I bought from a SK estate. Its lacking a power supply and I noticed your comment about a home brew PSU. Is there a schematic available for that online or is the PSU your creation? 73

@@CliveDrone I'll get some material together to describe a typical supply. Basically you need 1250 VDC plate supply around 250 ma or better. 400 VDC @ 250 MADC and 28 VDC at 10 amps (not 24).

The ONLY rig I ever coveted is that one, loved them in the USAF, loved them in MARS and loved them from afar, never owned one. would rather have a fully functioning KWM2A than a Mercedes Benz.

LoL I have 2 KWM2's, both with waters notch / peak filters, and one with a very rare waters RIT control in it also... Recapped one, recapping the other soon then alignment of both and probably sell one... A working Collins will stay working much longer then any Mercedes built after the 80's will!!! And probably worth more too LoL... Certainly costs less to keep it going!
