Why dose it trouble you so ! Did we even wanted to know ? Crows & awls are spreading their wings under my shadow 😊did we ever wanted to know ? Why the horses are running around outside of my yard ? Why they keep me in the dark & why they didn’t allow you to come closer to my heart !

I don't think a poem is gonna swing it for me you cheap scribes' mouthpiece... Don't ever come all haughty and learnedd on my corner again ... The speaker disappeared and the house fell to the wild firestarters all in the employ and with blessing and seal of the flesh and bone ghost who wears the cursed crown .. Should the magic elixir merchants hear such a peacock exotic turn of phrase escape from your stupid mouth .. you'd be found in a box with with your mouth washed out with soap before the bells summon the lepers and the moneylenders to break bread whilst still killing and cheating and Black death rotting in the pew ...Enough of your tortured gay poetry !!! Now bring me Ale and Wine and Brandy and Mercury for my syphilitic wench 🌹🌹🌹

Boring, repetitive, Victorian-era drear- wash. There are far better writers of both poetry and prose in the English language linked to thematic ideas connected to man's inner turmoil which use imagery connected to the pathetic fallacy of nature. Robert Frost; Seamus Heaney; Ted Hughes - to name but a few ! Personally - I prefer 'Bob Dylan's 'Rainy Day Women . . ' from 1966; it captures the 'blues' even better - in written or musical form !

Its a deliberate repetitive poetry form,Poe’s Raven is similar, there are others before him that used it, i am sure the form has a special name,! your list of poets is wonderful.

Gave me inspiration to write a super long poem about a breakup I'm going through, but awesome poetry. My favourite lines are, "I no longer love her, that's certain, but maybe I love her. / Love is so short, forgetting is so long", as it resembles that you're trying to get over her and convince yourself you no longer love her. The other line resembles how love is a great and magical thing, and it's so fun experiencing it, and makes life seem short from so much fun; but forgetting and getting over her is so hard and difficult, it seems like an eternal hell. Excellent!

If one could look at life as if they where caring, enough would be done for the soul would be sharing Keep on sending the heart a message by flow of love, the energy we assume is sent from above. a love once fealt when in the presence of god, should we not be present with love as a present. Can we truly feel love without being loved, of course with that said i know i am loved.

What the f**k has the war in Ukraine really got to do with a poem about rain as a metaphor - or a pathetic fallacy - for a man feeling miserable about life in general ? You'd be better off studying poems or poetry in general - specifically linked to ideas, themes and images of warfare; the First World War UK poets like Wilfred Owen or Siegfried Sassoon; for example. Or, better still - you could study Ted Hughes' 'The Bayonet Charge' - 'His terror's touchy dynamite' at the end of this poem is a great line !

THE TEMPEST - Lili It gives you comfort just to think that God is by your side To help you with your petty wants, you only have to pray Everything given or denied, it’s part of his great plan But what of when your world falls down, loss of home and pride Nature is a cruel beast, she arrives to ruin and flay She doesn’t care, she doesn’t think, of Gods, of love or man. - The cruel sea, the skies and wind all dark with careless hate Your home picked up and flung aside, the air fulfilled with death Is this the plan he had for you? You still think he is great Perhaps you think that he is kind for sparing most his flock A score of reasons to excuse, indifference, sin or fate It’s still the same, your world is gone, your hopes and prayers a mock. - And as you stare into the sky and bend your knees in thanks Your neighbor’s dead, your town a wreck, what thanks is due to him? Who made your life a misery, no future left for you You’re leaving now, your fate unknown a victim of his whim You’ll join the mass of those he’s scorned, the lost the faithful too Perhaps this trial will make you think, this God cannot be true. - If he is love then what’s this hate, inflicted on mankind It’s not just here, it’s everywhere, Infidel and faithful alike He doesn’t care, he strikes us all, and we’re supposed to find The meaning of the tragedy, the reason of the plan Be grateful for the mercy, mercy no one sees, mercy undefined The game he’s played with human pawns, the game he’s played with man. - The great Khayyam wrote of the game, a checkerboard of lies He knows the fate of everyone and watches from above And you may lift your hands to him, expectant of his love He only cares about the game, the players live or die And if you die that is the cost of being in the game A player faithful might be spared, the wanting to the flames.

I remember being taught about Longfellow in high school. He had such a sad life experience, losing not just one, but two wives he loved at different parts of his life. For him being able to share such beauty with us through words was remarkable.
