Thanks for uploading - I enjoyed waiting for & watching the Class 47s with you guys on the bridge, defo should have stayed for the 50s as you suggested - so good to see the video of that. It was great fun and interesting chatting, a quirky random encounter while I was taking rhubarb to a friend.... 🙂

Because 33012 was supplying ETH to the train. 33s may not have been built with steam heat boilers, but they were built with ETH, 60 years ago.
@johnspeller36664 жыл бұрын
I understand that the Class 33 Cromptons do not have steam heating boilers and were only used on freight trains in the winter. How did the passengers in the charter manage not to freeze?

....Letters for the rich, letters for the poor, The shop at the corner, the girl next door. Pulling up Beattock, a steady climb: The gradient's against her, but she's on time. Past cotton-grass and moorland boulder Shovelling white steam over her shoulder, Snorting noisily as she passes Silent miles of wind-bent grasses. Birds turn their heads as she approaches, Stare from bushes at her blank-faced coaches. Sheep-dogs cannot turn her course; They slumber on with paws across. In the farm she passes no one wakes, But a jug in a bedroom gently shakes.

This is excellent stuff - well done! Most railway videos just ramble on...but this is the complete, colourful, story of a ride on a WSR train - even the buying of the ticket online! - in just 3:19 👮🏻! Well thought-out continuity. The music is well chosen, and the occasional strategic ducking of the music to allow the growl of the diesel to come through is genius. Well done, once again. More please!

Great Video, why was there a wagon that said 'Renewing the Tube', i thought it would be in London.
@richboddy92847 жыл бұрын
The MLA Wagons were originally ordered by GBRf as part of it's contract with Metronet for London Underground renewals. Several wagons were swapped with NR fairly early on, and the main GBRf contract has since ended so they've ended up with NR.
