I question the Extra Holiday Rental program by Wyndham. We have been waiting for over 6 months for our rental income from them. We did get a check but they did a "stop payment". Numerous phone calls and misinformation saying the check has been sent and always verifying our address. We did get a check for the 42.00 bank charges but not the 791.43 due us. They get a good chunk of the rent that was charged and for 6 months have ALL of the rent. You are not given a person above the initial person to talk to so you only get information they want to give you and they do admit that is how it works. I wonder if there are others like us who are not getting their rent money as we have no idea what is happening to others.

I always opt out but have been punished for choosing to opt out. I was punished by having to wait 10-15 minutes by the scanner for a male TSA agent to frisk me. During that time I was physically separated from my carry on bag with iPad and iPhone both of which could have been stolen. This is my main concern since I always allow at least two hours to pass through security as I plan to opt out. I know the TSA agents hate to frisk people and one male TSA screener gave me the roughest frisk search with open hands touching my crouch and my anus. I did not make an issue of this because not missing my flight was more important. I understand the need for security screening of passengers and I don’t mind the pat down frisk if I opt out of the scanner but I do mind the long wait and separation from my personal property. How should I handle this wait and separation from my property? One screener told me for opting out I take the risk that my items will be stolen. If I have the right to opt out then just quickly frisk me so I can get on my way.

How much CAN I carry?

So that every one knows about several things. They do not delete pictures from the computer, second their is alot of radiation, and lastly their has been tsa agents that have contracted cancer from excessive radiation from the body scanners.

Now, I am calculating how much radiation dose I taken. Anyway, refuse it from now on.

That's a good point about the affinity cards. I have the Hilton Honors AMEX and it's been worth it. No annual fee and I get 3 points for every dollar I spend on gas and restaurant purchases (2 points anywhere else). I also am Silver Status with Hilton as long as I keep the card and use it. I've gotten a lot of free nights (taxes included) at Hilton properties out of it.

Opting out is easy and painless. I opt out all the time, and I have never been harassed or abused in the slightest -- but make sure the screener brings your carry-on over with you so you don't lose sight of it!

The only way I will fly is if I have to for work. In any case, I will opt out every time.

I see that you show one of those new types of check-in desks that some hotels are moving towards having. I've seen them in Loew's in Annapolis, MD, and a few other places. They have taken some getting used to, but in return, we the travelers get more lobby space.

only book on discount "pay up front" sites if you are 100000% sure that you will not need to cancel. Every time i have booked through a hotel's actual site they hold my credit card but will not charge it until the day of the actual reservation. so the one time i needed to cancel i just clicked cancel and that was all; i did not have to fight for a refund.
