This seems like the video game version of SpaceTruckers (I think it’s called) with Dennis Hopper a few years before he passed.

Wasn't sure if you knew this but you can now run 2 locomotives (double-head them) at the same time by linking the 2 together and then using the UI for one (it will control both). Might be nice when you need extra power but don't have money for a new more powerful loco.

when you get the gear gear up annunciator on the float planes, you have to push the flashing warning light.. it's a button. It announces what position your gear is currently in at a set radar altitude, and you have to confirm it by pushing the button.

As amazing as this looks, a 1/4 of my screen has been taken over by face cam, chat, supporter alerts and controls overlays. I am watching on my 50" tv screen connected to my computer so I can't image how much people are distracted on smaller screens given how much space the overlay takes up. Stream screen clutter isn't all that great for viewing the actual content. Face cam is really best used for jump scare type of games in my opinion. The game content should be the focus not overlays.

In every other application literally ever, zoom in works by pushing the mouse wheel forwards/up. I would absolutely love to meet the person on their team who made the decision to have that backwards, just to understand where they got and why they had that idea.

Hi from the US. Tea hotcup and whippy ice cream machine not available here but definitely would like something similar. Also wish for a all meat kebab with white sauce. Had it frequently in Poland during college but not in the US as far as I could find. The “kebab” trucks serve meat with rice in a foam take away style with greek style sauce. Been craving the authentic experience since I got back.

as a farm sim recoveree, I agree Vrome needs help. That game is still so shit and you need a ton of mods just to make it work properly. 3 years after release FS22 still hasn't gone through beta testing, it's still a buggy mess, the devs refuse to fix game breaking bugs, they keep making more DLC which adds more bugs they refuse to fix, and they ripped off dozens of modders and claimed it was "new features" with crediting the people who actually made the mods they stole. Giants remain incredibly unprofessional and incompetent, and I will never understand all the fanbois who keep defending them, or buying their janky mess

this game is so not for Paul. It requires taking your time to read and figure out how everything works, but while he's relying on chat to tell him what to do and all those stupid donation popups, he's got too many distractions to play this properly. Didn't watch all of the first VOD because it got way too frustrating, so don't know why he went for infectious diseases instead of something more substantial, but I blame chat for giving him bad advice. And then he goes for ambulances when he doesn't even have a functioning emergency room, which you need to receive the ambulances - what he built so far can only handle a very basic lung infection, and you don't get those on the ambulance.

Best game since Frostpunk and Subnautica(1) easily.

Meanwhile Nvidia makes overpriced ewaste no one needs - no game exist that can fully utilize a 3090, let alone a 4090 - and they continue to jack up the price to ensure as few people as possible can afford their products, because they'd rather you got Geforce Now than play on your own machine. Nvidia don't care about gamers, they never have. The majority of their production goes to bit mining cards and own use to expand Geforce Now, and the rest are the few consumers are allowed to get. Until they get their power consumption under control, Nvidia are the ones that don't have a competing product, and if the suggested EU tax on power hungry devices becomes a reality, they'll lose a fair chunk of the European market. It's the same problem with Intel - until they get the power consumption under 150 W, the max you can draw on a single EPS connector, they're not particularly relevant for consumers

1:06:50 - "...the UK went fully metric..." - Have you looked at road signs and milk cartons recently? ;D Road signs are all still in miles and yards, including for roadworks, crossings and other features. The large milk carton I buy every week states in a bigger font, "2.272L" (which it has to by law), but right below that it has, "4 pints". Metric? Yeah right. :D The next carton size down is usually a 1L, and below that 500ml, though I've seen smaller shops still selling half-pint cartons (but they say 568ml on them aswell in larger text). Also, remember the row during the switchover when half-pint cartons were replaced in larger supermarkets by 500ml, but at the same price? A bit of sly price gouging perhaps, though not as egregious as Marathon becoming Snickers, or Opal Fruits becoming Starburst. :} The UK never really went Metric, just in name. We'd be better off ditching the fakeness where it makes sense, such as on the larger milk cartons, just let it be 4 pints as it's always been. We've always been a bit schizoid about this, eg. note the way many people will use Imperial when talking about hot summer temps, but switch to Metric in winter when it's near or below freezing. Many of us grew up with both systems; I doubt I'm the only one who happily uses either system as seems fitting when doing DIY. Speaking of which, DIY supplies are another hillarious example: the standard plywood sheet size is 2440mm x 1220mm of whatever thickness, otherwise known as an 8 x 4 footer. :D And many of the mm thicknesses available are just conversions from Imperial. There are items which are now only marked in Metric of course (packets of cheese, ham and so on), but to a large degree it's just a paint job, and a poorly disguised one at that. Freedom units forever. :D Interesting to note though how hidden inflation is making a mockery of some of the initially touted "nice round number" benefits of Metric, eg. many packets of spread, such as Flora Buttery, that used to be 500g were quietly changed a couple of years ago to only 450g (post-lockdown shrinkflation), at the same time as absorbing a price increase, with the tubs carefully redesigned to mask the shift. The larger tub is still 1kg, but it does not state this anywhere on the side labelling, one must look underneath. Thus, I buy the 1kg tubs when they're on offer, transposing portions into two rotating smaller tubs as needed, saves quite a lot vs. buying the smaller ones when they're on offer. Product packaging is riddled with things like this nowadays. Wouldn't surprise me if packets of butter drop from 250g to 225g at some point. Tea bags used to be in packs of 100, but now most brands have switched to 80, while becoming more expensive (Twinings did this with their Earl Grey, so I switched to Tesco's Finest, which is much cheaper, still 100 bags and nicer anyway). Many wine boxes also shrank, from what had been a typical 3L down to a slightly smaller volume and box size, but the prices didn't change, or they even went up. Metric? Imperial? Like so many things, it's a right old mess in the UK, but it means more rules & regs and thus bigger govt, so no wonder it was heartily adopted. Hey, here's a question for Americans: watching car/truck-related content, such as Matt of OffTheRanch and other channels like Bruce Wilson, how come US petrol heads are so comfortable talking about engine capacities in Litres when everything else there is solidly Imperial? Just curious. Another oddity: despite having held onto Imperial in many ways, the UK has never really used Quarts, whereas this seems quite common in the US. Also, few Metric nations seem to bother with the decimetre, which is strange as one would imagine it'd be a convenient size for all sorts of measurements (ie. multiples of 10cm). Lastly, did you know that some decades ago certain companies tried to make commerce "easier" by combining both systems? Kodak briefly introduced the "metric foot" (10 inches) to its research teams, which of course was a disaster and thus quickly abandoned. :D

The tutorial in this game is pretty bad, and it actually teaches you more about how to play if you go straight into career mode. But really, the only way to learn to the game properly is to mess around in sandbox (aka free play, since it's not really sandbox) and use the trial and error approach. But instead of complaining the game is stupid, just think about how a real hospital is organized and do what the game tells you to do without thinking too much about it - it all, especially why you need multiple waiting rooms, makes much more sense when you have multiple departments and everything gets spread out over a huge area and multiple floors The thing the game does not tell you, that you have to figure out yourself by carefully reading the tooltips on all the panels, is that every department requires certain rooms to be present in order to function (which is why you need a waiting room for every department, just like you have in real hospitals), and some rooms are optional but required for optimal operation - and then there are some rooms that can be shared, like toilets, elevators, operating rooms, staff rooms and a couple others.

Yeah, funny you posted your streams on the game on the day they updated it. Sadly, they've cut back the XP gain so you dont quite gain as much levels right now. My first custom game I'm nearly rank 45. My second custom game, I'm rank 20... Its nice to see your reactions to this game. To me, this is simply truck sim with cabin interactivity, walking around to a degree and space walks. It adds alot to the genre even if certain things are not there like key bindings yet. Really good game imo.

i love this game,they did a update today that fixed and balanced the game such as batteries they last longer but i play on custom settings and its a chill game
