There is something I don't understand. 1- First open the hood. Wait 10 seconds. 2- Then drive for about 15-20-30 minutes. 3- Stop the car on a flat surface. 4- Turn on the ignition without pressing the brake. 5- Select the oil section from the settings. Is it like this?

On my audi a5 2011 6speed manual u put to key in click on oil level check it tells you to start the engine u push the key in as if your startimg the car but it doesn't start which i find weird and it tels u the oil level then u just push key again to start the engine

I’m pretty sure all you have to do is drive it around 5 miles and it resets itself, that’s the way my 2016 A4 was, and my 2014 Q5 🤙🏼

Hey not an old cars. Some of them have a more modern system the older ones so there's a specific way to reset it.

Puede que el thermostato esté malo o esté un poco bajo échale un poco más del max as acelerar lo jala al radiador y prende la luz

Thanks for this. Worked well. Saw a previous comment where this also sorted the check engine light. Mine still showing though. Hope it turns off after a few engine cycles.

Yeah, these cars are super sensitive all sensors so sometimes it takes a complete drive cycle to learn everything and then sorts everything out

Funny mine did the same thing luckily I have a 6000 mile warranty on it and it’s in the shop right now. Getting a motor replacement in mine started out with this noise and this was just a week ago.😂

My Audi was serviced and when followed all those steps, it now says pleas drain oil. It won’t go away but it was serviced with fresh oil. Not sure how to clear

I think an older Audis you have to do it the way that I did it go AMI to 3.5 and then add the Bluetooth transmitter and then connect your phone.

Yes, sometimes is a timing chain most of the time it's a cracked manifold

My gmc makes this noise also but runs great still only when I start it but also hear a clicking sound idling. Hope this is covered under powertrain warranty!

With these cars, you have to turn them on and let them idle for about 10 to 15 seconds so the oil circulates correctly and then the noise should die down most. The time is a cracked manifold.
