After checking so many I think this migth be the best soundmix. The bass is great, the high tones not ruined like in other versions. 2:27 never heard those unusual string sounds so clear. Thanks for this!

I picked this one up on the JJ Barnes/Steve Mancha album "Rare Stamps" on Volt but it's titled "Keep The Faith" on the album. I later found out the Groovesville 45 came out first and the Mancha/Barnes cuts were ALL previously issued on Groovesville and Don Davis brought them from Detroit to Memphis and compiled the Rare Stamps package.

This is the wrong song. It's "I Need Lots Of Love" from the flip-side.

I''ve been a fan and follower of US soul music here in the UK since the mid-1960s and still I'm coming across tracks such as this. Thank you for expanding my knowledge and love of the genre.

If these guys had ever possibly gotten themselves in the old Celebrity Speed Trap of Boss Hogg when passing through good old Hazzard County for an episode of the classic 1979-85 CBS action adventure comedy series titled “THE DUKES OF HAZZARD”, and then they would have performed “SCOTCHMAN ROCK” at The Boar’s 🐗 Nest to payoff the fine on their speeding ticket?!

LC Cooke was very good. It is a shame he has a bigger brother name Sam Cooke, with a voice that was only God could have blessed him with. LOL!
