There aren't any deaths becasue some sort of God mode is on. At 9:22, I saw a tank shot hit you with a shield active. I played this game in the arcade, and as I remember the shield does not shield you from projectiles like tank shots. So I slowed video playback to .25 speed and could see at 8:47 and 8:57 you were hit by tank shots without a shield and lived.

The Empire Strikes Back is my favorite movie of all time. While i absolutely adore this game, and the entire Super Star Wars trilogy, this one was always my least favorite of the 3. SNES StarFox is a masterpiece. The objects' real time animation is done by computer's calculation 👍🏾 and not by artists 👎🏾. Polygon graphics also had true depth calculation and manipulation. You will enjoy all these things some years later, more massive and more advanced, with the arrival of LucasArts' X-Wing & Tie Fighter PC/Mac games. The more advanced home consoles never got to the level of computer real time animation from the polygon graphics PC/Mac from the 90s 😂🤦🏾‍♂️.
