Disgustingly shitty connector. Plastic breaks when trying to "open" it, arrives in closed condition from factory, having to use a plier to "pull" on the entirety of the plastic to try and get it out. It looks easy in video, absolute shite in reality. 3 contacts at a total of 100euro after shipping where all are trash now.

What actually happens when I try to do this: * If not enough force applied, screwdriver slips and doesn't move the blue part * If enough force is applied, either the housing can't withstand the lever or the blue part breaks off. This was with a Q 8/0 QL with blue inserts and a 0.6x3 screwdriver like in the manual.

the Han Q4 was great, the Q5 is nothing but trouble. looks easy when its on a flat surface, now try it in a machine in real world conditions. you need 3 hands.

Can you please explain the need for the complicated tool? I can see it locks the push button in the clamp-open position, but for who? ONE armed installers who want to insert unferruled flexible wires?! For us two armed people, we simply push the buttom down, insert the wire, and release the button. The tool confuses me!

The tool keeps the cage open during the process, making it easier the insertion when there is a bundle of wires withou terminal. But you are right, it’s possible to do it without any special tool

Thiese things don't even grip the wire half the time, very easily broken when trying to remove wire to refit, Avoid.

Harting makes the best products in the world, but you need to follow the product spec when selecting conductors to use with them, and follow directions. So they are definitely not for everybody like the more common wire nut or wago clip.

I understand what you're saying, I definitely just damaged one because I did not use it properly. So if you're prone to mistakes or not great with instructions I would buy a few spares for sure.

@@MatthewValancy I've followed directions exactly and a HAN Q8/0 broke the blue insert when removing it. The correct wire was used (1.5mm2 class 5 in a Q 8/0 QL). By far the worst connector I've ever used. Can't imagine assembling these in field conditions.

The Han® Shielded Basic Module has got 27 contacts. Hence you would need only two modules to terminate in total 50 wires to one connector. Please contact us again if that is not the expected answer.

Hi platinMartin Har-modular ist ein Steckverbinder für die Leiterkarte innerhalb von Geräten. Er ist nicht für den Geräteanschluss durch Gehäuse oder ähnliches gedacht. Durch die Variable Größe wäre die Auswahl an passenden Gehäusen auch kaum realisierbar. Für typische PCB Schnittstellen, die auch in der Geräteanschlusstechnik verwendet werden können, schau dir doch mal unsere DIN 41612 Housings an.
