👀 NOTHING is impossible with Founders Island

I also really hope they make triple-screen part of the roadmap, or even VR, but I can imagine that definitely not "most" of people playing the game have a rig, let alone triple screens or a headset. If the game is supposed to have mass appeal and be on consoles ASAP, I understand that they want to focus on other stuff.

No issue bringing a proper simulation to the mass market is there? If the physics are good and accurate then it almost doesn't matter how you acquire content.

@@w300x Absolutely, but sadly many PC sim racers don't see it that way. The moment a racing sim looks and sells itself like a game, the less seriously people will take it. People already scoffed at the dynamic liveries in Rennsport, this will be yet another thing.

Saved me writing that!! Couldn’t agree more. I had a beta key…excited. But optimisation was awful. Makes your wheel want to self combust or break your wrists and frankly it feels vapid and soulless. LMU is more fun and sorted (from motorsport games for Christ sakes) yet we have this ‘thing’ that looks like it just releases fan made beauty vids. It will be a less developed and less fun raceroom. Will appear on your steam library as one of those games with 4.6hrs played tag

@@gold20111 In Rennsport I don't feel like I'm driving a car, just a hovercraft that has strange reactions 2000 hours on other sims Irating 4900 and I play AC and ACC and I don't have this impression there

@@warszawarc And how can you feel it if there is no moving platform? After all, every car has a power steering so that you don't feel it... but there are some cars that are specially made with a kickback balance - so that you can feel the road. You can't "in any way" feel the weight of the car with the steering wheel... And that's only if you have visual perception. In such a case, you need to trick physics to get pleasure. "And if there is no pleasure, then it's not a simulator!" The main thing is that the steering wheel should be responsive in time, and let you know about it. And everyone understands everything in their own way, both the effects and the picture. That's how it is everywhere and always in life! You can't please everyone - you need to put everyone under the same comb, into one herd. Then it's easier to satisfy and put everyone in their place. (imposed your will on the "cattle"!)

I think the game would do better if they hadnt catered to the simracing community that much early on, saying they wanna do it better than iracing and such stuff. Years later and they say that Triple Support wont come in the foreseeable future. So youve already lost a chunk of the established Simracing player base. I still have hope for this game if they can get core simracing mechanics and features into the game and have better Physics, FFB, sound and graphics. At this point you dont get simracers to play the game by being free to play. You have to give people something they dont get in iracing, ACC, AC, LMU, ams2, raceroom. But thats extremely hard to achieve and development is really slow. Yes AC EVO might be the final nail in the coffin but AC EVO will also be rather barebones at first. In the end its a race against time for the Rennsport devs tho, thats for sure.

@@gold20111 i tried it a few months ago... unfortunately it was MILES away (in Terms of Physics, FFB, Connection to the Road, Sounds and also somehow Graphics were not good with a lot of blurriness, flickering and ghosting) from all the serious sims i tried (iracing, ACC, LMU) and im on triples. So theres no point in trying again until full release and Triples Support

​@@wilmajacki AC EVO will be rather barebones at first as well, however there is some history there to draw experience from. When the pre beta (I refuse to call it pre alpha, pre alpha is like concepting phase, lol) already drives better than Rennsport and already showcases weather, we can be a little more positive with the launch of early access to AC EVO. As in, that it will have better physics. They also said day one Triple Screen and VR Support. That is already more than what Rennsport is giving. And lastly, the Early Access will be at least 20 cars and 5 tracks... At this point it sounds like the Early Access alone is better than Rennsport. Don't know if we can expect multiplayer races in ACE on EA yet, or if the Simgrid side of things will be ready, or just some simple few servers online for people to try the game out. But, yeah it already sounds better. Visuals are also important to many of us. Rennsport on my rig runs on max settings just fine. ACE looks amazing and way better than the limitations the UE tech brings with it, however there is still the question of how optimised it will be and if it will run. Then there is the last part to this all. Popularity. Kunos has something these devs do not. And with their recent success, bigger budgets to push out more content faster and if not better quality at least the same level. I don't think there is much they can do. The nail is half in. Their race against time is already too late it seems. I mean as a genre, we sim racing fans will jump onto anything. ANY news on a new sim racer and we are trying it out. That is for sure. Any new sim racer to try our gear out on as well is an extra excuse to have more sim racing fun. So Rennsport got a big welcome hug right off the bat and it seems their development is just too slow for them to offer anything more than what is already available, much less something new. I don't know, at this point I think there is little they can do. I mean it took them like a year for open Beta? I tried it in closed beta and it was fun and all, kinda okish for a closed beta, but nothing amazingly special. I just enjoy racing and driving around. And all this time later I feel like they still haven't added much to the title. Either they announced it too soon and it is very early for their content, or they are just too slow. As in, maybe they should of just announced it when they had more going for it. Right now its barebones and we have had access to it for a while. ACE will launch on the same state and better right away. Idk.... idk.... I wanted this to be a great game and free is good and all but, man, a lot of stuff is all over the place. Like even their FFB. I had to do a lot of strange fiddling around to make it feel good. When it did, it was a nice enjoyment, but this alone should be worrisome. They haven't even got the basics together.
