I used to run a little hustle in school where I’d bring my laptop in and jailbreak people’s psp’s for $20. Made a decent amount of money but not many returning customers 😂

The steam decks os is better as it’s pre tooled for hand held gaming and it’s not running windows and I personally trust valve a lot more than those other companies

Technically, 333MHz is within the specification of the PSP's CPU, and is not an overclock. The stock CPU speed is a result of the CPU multiplier setting, which is what the CFW allows you to change. Also, presenting the PSP as a platform for emulating N64 games is a bit disingenuous -- SM64 is pretty much the only game that reaches speeds comparable to a real console, despite Daedalus having over a decade and a half of development and optimizations. A handful of other games are playable, but not anywhere near full speed, and many titles (such as both zelda games) run like absolute garbage and probably always will given their dubious programming.

Comparing the N64 to the PS2 are 2 different generations. The PS1 and the N64 were eachother's competitors. The Nintendo Gamecube came out in 2001 and was the rival of the PS2.

Yeah, if you could just make that charging coil round so that it fits where that metal ring was before, that would make the back of the psp look so much better

I had 2 Hacked PSP's.. The problem is that most games had hidden DRM that made the game unplayable or incompleteable if it wasn't run on the physical UMD media.

Kinda wack to lock such important information behind membership like what you would do different on the build, makes me think this "ULTIMATE" setup is not only not that but also I feel like I wasted 20 minutes watching a subpar build.

Power alone isn't everything, that's why the Steam Deck dominates the space. Valve essentially took the Nintendo approach to a console: Affordable, capable enough, and most importantly, easy to just pick up and game on. The differentiator being that they didn't lock their console down, and embraced homebrew. That's why it works so well. I tried a Lenovo Legion Go, thinking I would like it more. I was wrong.
