@benvizemusic What do you think of the chords in bars 13 and 15 being C#m7b6 (Aeolian) and Amaj7#5? I hear them like that.

Only 731 views…..man! And Taylor Swift gets millions!! Great job of transcribing. I’m old now…..78, but when I was young and first discovered McLaughlin, I was transcribing everything I got my grubby little hands on. And, it was much more difficult back then. There was something called vinyl and you had to do needle drops…..very gingerly. I was working with BS cover bands back then and because I was the guy who expedited the rehearsals by transcribing the tunes, they had to put up with me making them perform Mahavishnu Orchestra tunes as break songs. Great playing too.

Not keen on synthaxe if that's what this is. Can never be as expressive triggering notes compared to making the notes
@sylviaice83897 ай бұрын
Bro, listen to his solo on "Distance vs. Desire" from Sand. It is by far the most expressive and emotional solo I've ever heard. Played all on SynthAxe with the breath controller. It's absolutely incredible the level of dynamics he could achieve with a Synth. It's incredibly beautiful. I love the synthaxe. "Secrets" is amazing as well.

@benvizemusic It reminds me of the band Genesis. In particular one of my favourite songs, "Firth of fifth". Yours is more crazy and synthy though

Straight out of Slonimsky’s Thesaurus of Scales and Melodic Pattens book. If you don’t know what that is then find out. Allan did.

it's just electrifying. bliss. the interaction with the drums. average mortals are missing out. i say this as someone who is actually a pop and trap and edm and dnb junkie, too.
