Thank you. Someone told me to check the air tightness of the valve by blowing it with the mouth. If it is nof tight then the valve is defective. This is correct?

Honestly we have never checked it that way. You should be able to tell if the valve is bad by taking it apart and looking at all the parts. Usually if the valve plate is not staying against the valve seat then the spring is broke. If the valve plate and the valve seat have any pits then the valve is bad. Also if the valve cage is crushed at all that can cause an issue too. But I assume if yes you can blow it open that might be a sign of an issue.

Well now I know what the O Ring just sitting in there is... very confusing where those O Rings like they fell off something

That is an oil scrapper O Ring. It is more for helping you notice an issue by pushing any build up out the weep hole. If you don't have it or don't install one it will not cause any issues. We are glad this helped.
