One small thing that you missed in the review, is the awesome rear leg room. Quite ridiculous for a car of these dimensions. Otherwise, yup, agree with everything else you said 🎉

I have replaced age related parts , suspension lower ball joints , etc springs Mostly new bits n bobs sensors , injector loom , cam belt around the engine .. I love these cars my first one Plenty of life left in the Old Girl 👍😁🚙

I'm becoming a big fan! I do need to do the cambelt, but I can't afford it atm. did think about trying it myself, for about 4 seconds 🤣🙈🙈

Hi, I like the idea of using the thick Dodo insulation. They now do a noise and Insulation, but I believe it costs more. I like the idea of keeping access to all these pockets which are normally hidden away. Take care M.

They do some good stuff, definitely worth spending the extra on in my opinion, thank you for watching and taking the time to comment

Excellent cars, like you a 53 plate TDi 1.4, 218k miles. I've done the 6-speed MYP (Passat 1.6 Bluemotion) gearbox upgrade. All same ratios as A2's original but with an extra gear. Love it to bits: fun, cheap to run, cheap parts, super economical, practical plus you're in a unique-to-segment modern classic that's only getting more and more rare. Good choice!

is that a straight forward swap?? sounds interesting...although I spend barely any time in 5th as it is 🤣 I like it in the sweet spot for pick up 🙈 loving the car though, such a fun little thing to drive and it puts a smile on my face everytime. thank you for watching and taking the time to comment 🙏🏻

Got yourself a bargin. 60mpg is normal, 80+ on long runs. Common problems are headlining (as you see), wiper arm drooping (which scratches window) and petrol button stop working (petrol flap can be opened from inside the boot area)

Make sure you have the right speck of oil for car on the panel under the bonnet you should find a sticker or card that will have a code which will tell you what specific oil you need most oils have these codes on the back I will pm you of what I mean this is quite important especially with the high mileage that you have on the car to stick to the same coded oil it doesn't have to be the brand as long as it right spec to it

Join the Audi A2 Owners Club. That's the most useful resource for the A2 Enthusiast. With their help, I found an excellent garage; WOM Automotive. There are also lots of 'how to' guides. Check your front suspension control arms. They rot out. Make sure you know where to raise your car safely. The plastic sills are NOT structural! Many have damaged 'floorpans' as a result of incompetence... Enjoy your car. It WILL get under your skin! From the owner of a 282,000 mile 1.4TDI owner. 😎👍

🤣🤣 I'm sure it will..... I'm on the Facebook A2 Owners Group, have already learnt a fair bit through that. I did already know about the jacking points, I had a couple of these new "back in the day" as demonstrators/company cars (I used to sell VWs out of a dual franchise showroom between 02 and 04) I do love it already, need to do an oil and filters change too. it's just trying to find the time!!! (and motivation tbh too) Thank you for your watch, and comment 🙏🏻 😊

Actually, it’s not really a fault of the Bosch wipers blades. The tab on the E46 drivers side wiper arm is designed to work with the old style wiper blades and should be removed when you upgrade to the new style wiper blade. The new style wiper blades from the BMW dealer come with an instruction to do exactly that. Cheers!

The gearbox worries me... And it's not a French Box (thank God!) It's actually Japanese! AISIN developed it... so fingers crossed. I am really thinking about buying one of these cars. Maybe in white (hate bright colours like yellow or blue). Want a more discreet color. Or grey. Looks elegant on Grey. One thing: does ANYONE has something to say about sound quality? Saw so many reviews. No-one speaks about that. I know it's not Harman kardon or Bose 😂😂 But... is it any good? It's something I really appreciate in a car. Great video. Thank you so much Big hug from Madeira Island, Portugal 🇵🇹

The main problem with the 1.2 Puretech is the wet belt which is bathed in oil and which disintegrates (crumbles) on contact with this oil to clog the lubrication circuit (notably the strainer, resulting in loss of pressure and poor lubrication). of the engine which breaks down). Many owners have been victims of this aberrant conception!

F.Y.I. The seat does not need to be removed. The part can be installed from the back seat area. You just need to move the seat forward and the sensor is right there. But, unfortunately, the new part didn't work for me. That said, I don't have a scanner to determine the problem. I just was hoping that it would turn off my SRS light. For $11 it was worth a try.
