Nevertheless, from a spiritual and thematic perspective, the parallels are evident. The shared focus on pilgrimage to a sacred place, the transformative power of such a journey, and the deep yearning for divine proximity are universal themes found in both texts. These references to springs or sources of water in both scriptures add another layer to the thematic similarities between the two, emphasizing not just the physical journey or pilgrimage but also the divine providence and blessings that can emerge even in challenging circumstances.

Enjoyed the joke. But you added a new insight on guilt that this 70+yo never thought of nor heard and the southern baptists cover it all but my wife and I've been at Mt. Paran since 1982. bwm. Every sermon at Mt Paran are the best I've ever heard. (Sincerely and ALMOST EVERY one Of BGEA, but I've never heard a bad sermon at Mt. Paran).

I remember this sermon and it is one of the best GOD has ever laid on Dr. Cooper's heart. He is one of the greatest teachers I have learned from since 1982.

The Valley of Baca could’ve been in the West Bank. There’s a page on Wikipedia which mentions Baca. Also, Bakkah in Islam.
