I grew up in Warwick in the 70s & 80s, and Lloyds was the place we shopped. I got my first bowling ball at Lloyds in Middletown! They had a great arcade there too in the 80s.

Im a millennial and grew up with it still as Playtogs. Then it became the National Wholesale Liquidators which really wasn’t much different. Man so sad to see this place get demolished and now for an Amazon fulfillment center. So nothing interesting unless you are looking to work for Amazon.

wow that's nostalgic. this store sucked for a lot of things though, i remember buying a Caulk gun from here, bringing it home, and it busting apart into little pieces on the first use 😅

Don’t you wish you could jump right through the screen and go back to those times? When life was simpler and worth a lot more because people worked hard for it. Sorry, todays world just makes me sick

Exactly! No cellphones to distract us, this was filmed using a 8mm camera, there was no sound because at the time my grandfather couldn’t afford a movie camera that had voice recording

@@leev2463 few people could afford a camera with sound in 77’, it probably looked like a news station camera and cost $1000. We had the old Bell and Howell too, I need to go through the stacks of movies we have. Lots of memories in those magic little slices of time, people we haven’t seen in a while. Thanks for the look back, I sure miss those days I was 11 in 77’ and they were magical times.

Yes she gets some fruits and greens other times of the day, this was just a short video of her eating the worms, she’s an adult so we cut back to 20 percent worms and 80 percent vegetables & fruits

Those are the X4s. I have the X5s. I feel they are very special sounding speakers and both very easy to drive. Very transparent and open sounding. I'll probably never go back to owning a box speaker.

I was in first grade and lived in New Mexico during this blizzard. We believe it was a ranch outside of Taos, definitely in the mountains. They had to carry me to the school bus because the snow was so deep and I was very small for my age! Our power went out and we thought we were going to freeze to death!
