Now I understand why the challenges didn't help me find my style. I was too focused on finding the subject and the material! Perhaps only Inktober answers this question. But I like colorful illustrations more.Thanks for your advice!

Thank you very much for the video, I would like to know if you usually pay a fixed amount for the chosen designs or if it is for royalties, or both, thank you for helping us.

Coming here four years late but I’m just getting into acrylics and this video is brilliant to use all the watercolor sketchbooks I have. I really like using take out containers to keep colors in a palette .

So how do you make sure that the image cannot be printed, like the image that was downloaded illegally on Microstock, (if you print it, the image will not appear)

1. You don't know how to prompt properly 2. By choosing, you are also teaching the machine 3. No, we're not going to be destroyed by AI, we're gonna be their slaves and slaves to whoever owns them, providing real creation, of which only the human intelligence is capable of, because we are creations of the almighty God. 4. There's nothing we can do about it, actually.

Please don't take it personally. I am also a dummy for these things, in part because I am refusing to give in... But all around the Tube you can see amazing art and patterns generated by AI. Unlike you and me, those guys know how to prompt.

I like how she speaks for the ENTIRE graphic design community, yet, she isn't even a designer herself. No, we use Illustrator the most, Indesign then Photoshop. Since I also illustrate on the side and for fun, I also use Procreate the most in my freetime.

*TIP:* In the metadata, it’s recommended to include language that your work is *“available for sale and/or licensing,”* as that *reinforces* your legal rights as an artist & business owner.

Thanks for the helpful content! In fabric design, how would a designer approach designing something that isn't implemented in a repeat pattern? I am having trouble learning how designs that aren't repeat get printed on fabric used for blouses, button down shirts, etc.

I was wondering if you had any information on how taxes work with selling on PatternBank. Not sure if you're in the US, but would the earnings essentially be taxed by the amount reported through paypal?

I cant see where you are flipping and exchanging the numbers - you said flip 4 and 1, but then you picked up and glued number 3 where 4 was supposed to go?

It’s also less fun to be an artist when you have to make a living and pay your bill with it. I’ve been freelance since 2007 and there have been some lean years lately!!!! This is very good advice from you 💛

This is a great introductory video to Patternbank. I do wonder, however, how a buyer of a 'Personal' license would use it, given that it's not for commercial use. An individual usually does not have access to POD sites, in order to print to fabric. What other uses are there for this 'Personal' license?
@LaurenLesleyАй бұрын
Good question! They would use it for personal projects like if they were printing invitations for a kid’s birthday or sewing curtains for their own house. Anything that would NOT entail selling the artwork. ☺️🎉
