Zombie's Halloween is far from being the most awful in the series. Resurrection and Ends are the only real contenders for that title. Even Curse wasn't done all that well comparatively speaking.

Agree for the most part. Like, in the original Halloween movies, there’s occasional sexual innuendo and scenes and a little bit of blood here and there, but Rob Zombie took all of that and amped it up like 1000%. The freaking intro to Lori character alone makes her look like an extremely oversexed teenager. And don’t even get me started on the Linda and Annie characters. Especially Linda. That was not Jamie Lee Curtis‘s or the other actors. characters at all. And then making her an extremely bitter and careless, and vulgar person in the sequel, that just pretty much added insult to injury. In the same hand, I actually don’t mind, zombies portrayal of Michael fully grown. To give Rob Zombie some credit, Tyler, Mane as Michael Myers is definitely top of the list as far as someone I do not want chasing me. I don’t even think Busta Rhymes kung fu from resurrection would be enough to stop Tyler Manes Michael Myers.

I’ve always said this: it’s not a bad movie, but it’s a terrible Halloween movie. When you listen to critiques about the film, it usually comes down to one thing. That it’s a bad interpretation of Michael, and a bad interpretation of the original Halloween film. If it wasn’t Michael Myers, if it wasn’t a Halloween film, it would be one of the best set of films in the 2000’s grunge horror genre. If it was an original killer, and they changed story elements to make it more distinct from Halloween, it could have been brilliant. Buuut wah.

H20 dealt with Laurie's trauma far more realistically than DGG's 2018 movie, which I thought was extremely over-the-top and illogical. In H20, Laurie is a functional alcoholic who's moved across country and changed her name to hide from her brother. It struck a perfect, believable tone of the kind of trauma she would have sustained from the first two films. In the 2018 movie, she's been reduced to a paranoid, reclusive survivalist for 40 years based on a single event, yet STILL LIVES IN HADDONFIELD...oh, and Michael Myers ISN'T her brother in this one, so there's even less of a compelling reason for her to be so severely traumatized. It just didn't ring true... I thought it was decent when I first saw it, but the more I thought about it, the less I liked it. I didn't even bother with the other two in the DGG trilogy, and it doesn't feel like I missed anything. H20 definitely should have been the end of the original film continuity.

It would have taken all of a few minutes, to read the IMDB page to find out, Halloween Aftermath is a high quality Fan Made film taking place 2 years After Halloween Kills, and 2 years Before Halloween Ends. Bridging the gap between the 2 films. Blumhouse is not involved, it is not an Official project from Miramax or Trancas International. However, it is a Passion Project coming from James Grim, Cole Tathum, and their production team, releasing in October of 2025.

H20 was great for a teen slasher movie. Resurrection was just a poorly executed money grab. They didn’t need to tap into the modern ‘web cam’ gimmick, which hasn’t aged well. H20 was a great ending, but if they had to, I would have been fine with an entire movie focused on the asylum, having Laurie Strode hallucinating like she did in H20, with certain hallucinations (like seeing the scarred Michael hand on a doctor trying to administer her drugs) to explain seeing his scarred hands in H20 before the head chop. Have a Loomis type trying to tap into Laurie, show existing inmates that knew Michael. I bet some had some great ideas

Turns out Toy Story 5 is about the end of buzz’s story since the 4th was the end of woodys story and it’s it seems to be a cancelled plot for the 3rd movie before it was changed originally in toy story 3 buss was going to get a malfunction and get sent back to the factory to get fixed
