Interesting interview. Circuit design is not my field, but I passed many exams watching Dr Razavi's lectures haha. Mr Kshitiz seems like a brilliant and modest young man. And your questions were pretty good. All the best to both of you

For a periodic x(t). They are essentially telling you the strength of the signal, x(t), at the harmonic frequencies.

Great conversation. I am quite curious to know apart from India, Us and Europe, what is the employment scene for device modelling, more than Moore and beyond Moore research at east asian companies like TSMC, Samsung or the research centres of western MNCs in East Asia, (assuming work visa is easier for these places since TSMC hires for VLSI roles at its Hshinchu centre from IITs). And What does an iit undergrad need in terms of research and experience to work there? An explainer on these questions would be very useful

Hi tejas, Can you tell me why is it so that the effect of band tails on SS arises after a certain low temperature (critical temperature) only? Why not on high temperatures like 300K?
@TejasKetkar6 ай бұрын
Hi Nalin, the effect exists but is negligible as per the current understanding in the literature. Probably because the majority of the current comes from the bulk states, and the band-tail states contribute negligibly. However, in my personal research (master’s thesis) I saw that it can be non-negligible in some scenarios.

There are some groups that are doing phenomenal experimental research in India as well. If you’re passionate about it then, in my opinion, you can do excellent work here as well. The video was just meant to create awareness so that you get an idea of what you can expect. To get a clearer picture, you’ll have to speak to multiple people, since there is always a personal bias involved. All the best!
@DeepakKumar-yo7xd6 ай бұрын
@@TejasKetkar True that. I understand the challenges out there in India if people pursue fabrication as their research area. However, some words of encouragement helps! Appreciate your initiative of creating awareness. You can also call somebody who has done good work in fabrication from Indian universities. We can get wider perspective in that case. Device fabrication is central to device modeling, circuit simulation and design, I feel.
