only rarity "bump" I have done is with swordsoul where I got every main deck card as an ultra, which meant downgrading some and as many ED cards as possible to secret. The deck looks so clean and it was a cheap way to make my favourite deck by far nice imo. YGO is a game where you shape your luck along with skillfully applying what we are lucky to come across. It is curious how we manage having way less recruiters than in MTG yet we also have some unique ways to change that luck. We have also had the same experimentation and at times truly affected the other. Even Pokemon TCG affected them both heavily!

Reviewing what was released in older boxes is also something few do, thinking they are not relevant beyond some noted tech cards. Even so, previous meta has some gas that can be picked up again. It is why I look at Edison and other Time Mage format games along with the current format.

This says more about yugioh's powercreep than anything else. Nobody cares about rogue. Everything revolves around decks that define a format. If you only take rogue decks into account, you could argue Halq was fair because it usually only created an additional disruption for rogue strategies. But of course, we saw what happened when it was played in real decks. Should Halq be unbanned because it helped rogue decks? Of course not. We know how much more meta can abuse it. So, while it sucks to have your salad board murdered by nib. I'd much rather have it available to answer brutal meta threats like Snake-Eyes when I have to go second. Because, let's be real, most people are competing to win.
