Hey there. Random question. I paid for a domain and subscription on squarespace, spent 12 hours editing the site, then realized I was editing my trail period template. Is there a way to move the domain and subscription to the proper site? Help 😭😭😭

So what's your opinion now? One site in and I've found some glaring limitations. Framer is for High School projects, nothing business related.

The customer service for Squarespace has been a major turn off for me. I’m on the search for another platform. I wish I would have tried out Framer before I started on Squarespace. Also, Squarespace won’t allow me to change my domain name after 5 days. 😢

Okay so what I learned is that Squarespace 7.1 isn't based on templates like others, it's just a universal template that uses some sort of global sharing of styles. The 'templates' that are shown are just 'ideas' using the easily customizable styles of headers, fonts and other stuff. I don't know why this had to be so complicated from Squarespace let alone from content creators trying to help others.

What ultimately led to me deciding to go with Kit was the 10k subscriber feature for free.

Webflow is much better than Framer. There are very few courses in french for Framer, it’s not interesting. It is not as obvious as Webflow.

One thing for sure....there is no "hands down " best website builder...they all have clear downsides that will put off a section of potential users

couldn't agree with your more David, Framer is a really inviting platform and does feel like the future! last several weeks i've been (seemingly endlessly) researching DIY web options to refresh one of our web pages, and of allll the options out there, Framer has really flipped a switch with my creativity and haven't been this excited about building a website in a while. Whether you start a new channel for Framer or add more content to this channel, I think it's a great idea for you regardless. Think a lot of folks would find value in variety of Framer how-to vids.

As there is a checkbox to allow marketing emails Perhaps automated, after purchase follow on emails are not classed as marketing emails? Hi there! If I am understanding correctly, this essentially allows you to forward/redirect a previous domain into a new domain name? I am trying so hard to forward my domain name on squarespace to be the same domain name I use on pixpa, but am so terribly stuck.

I have been in absolute hell deciding on a platform. I am doing a news blog and ai/automation agency in one. I am not a web developer but know the basics of HTML, css and grasp the concepts of classes, divs etc. But I don't have the time. I've tried squarespace, Framer, webflow with Relume, WordPress with elementor and UiCore, 10web, Wix - even considered Bricksbuilder and Webstudio (last one I think is pretty interesting) I would love to build on Framer, but I need the ability to post content to CMS via API and ideally also an RSS feed function. Which Framer doesn't have as far as I understand - and if you want to setup custom plug-ins, then it gets real complex real fast. But I want a good looking site with a few specific features and most importantly be able to get up and running in record time. Any recommendations for a struggling AI dude?

Decided to help a friend and build a site using Squarespace since they claimed that it’s easy and able to change template and style. Just click a random template that had similar option of content that closely matched what we needed but we didn’t need commerce section. So now that we went through the payment we noticed that there is no way to change the design template. It only allows you to change the “THEME” on colors and font style. Why Squarespace made it a lot more difficult than previous version? Is there anyway to change the layout/template? 😢
