Thank you for the video Jeff. But I’m a little bit confused, there’s a video that Peter shows if I’m not mistaken, the exact same machine and his has the dial on the unit itself instead of a separate unit. Now is his and this a different unit? Because I’d like the one that I understood from the limited knowledge I have with one of these units that has a low RPM at 100 and I can’t remember the peak. Please explain? Thank you upfront Phil.

Damn, what a great machine as I’m continuing on again watching this video
@Phil.D33310 күн бұрын
I understand Pete uses these machines and I’m actually tempted, especially the fact that it has a lot of torque according to the company to run two wheels at the same time without slowing down to almost a stop as the Tormek T8 is prone to do. I’ve checked all my washers. Everything‘s in place on the shaft tightened up as it should be. But still almost they stop on the right side of a spin area besides tarmac don’t recommend two wheels to be run on their units. I just tried it very briefly, and at least on my machine as they say fa-geee-ttta-bou-it. My question is this I understand you sell to governments, industries, and what have you, but why do I not see others using belt over wheel tradesmen edge professional on KZbin? I only ask this only because I’d like to get other points of view, opinions to how they sharpen on this unit. Again I know Peter does I just wanted to see more maybe you can steer me in the right direction please. I love this machine. My friends are waiting for me to purchase it so at least eight more friends would like to buy it.

Why aren’t there a lot of comments on here? Again so, if I’ve already purchased the tormek T8 with their 250 MM wheels they don’t fit on any of your units do they?

I have the Tormek T8 I guess they’re 250mm wheels won’t fit on this unit will they?
@Cuttermaster9 күн бұрын
yes Tormek wieels will fit normally however ,their stone wheels may explode at the higher RPM and it may be difficukt to drive a belt if the wheel is noit keyed to the shaft. Their plated bond wheel will work if used as wheels (we have a fixture to drill the pin hole if needed)
@Phil.D3339 күн бұрын
@@Cuttermaster So if I’m understanding correctly at high speeds with this unit, do not run at high speeds Tormek’s Original, grinding stone, their black HSS stone or their Japanese stone correct? Also, am I understanding to not run Tormek’s diamond wheels at high or higher speeds on this unit because what they blow up? But it is possible to run the unit at the lowest speeds and having enough torque to sharpen with any of Tormek’s wheels correct? I would gather so. If I’m understanding correctly at high speeds, do not use any of Tormek’s wheels when running them belt over wheels correct?
@Phil.D3339 күн бұрын
@@Cuttermaster Also, when you say, plated bond wheels from Tormek, are you talking about their actual plated diamond wheels, because I don’t know what your terminology is meant by their bonded wheels. This certainly is an interesting machine. However, the presentation seems to be geared toward people who have a strong background in such things. It would help to introduce the product model and manufacturer and a bit about it's overall capability first. Tell the users more about it before just jumping into the operation. You noted the model but, not how one can purchase it. After checking out your web site it became obvious but, some people may not make that effort if you do not first promote it and what it can do. Also, you may warn those who are more of a hobby level that these are not the for the faint of heart. Yes, they are definitely professional level machines but, not everyone viewing this video will realize that because they strongly resemble those offered by VEVOR. That does not mean that those people won't buy it, though. Many may do so if they have the means. FWIW

I understand what you were saying about the new locking system. Now that I have the upgraded circuit board you sent me installed the motor runs great. no noticeable torque issues whan I lean heavy when thinning. That said the new motor your running seems even faster and brakes fast. Thats going to be very helpful with fast belt changes. This maching has been a game changer for my business. I'm almost down to 45 sec per knife and scoring below 100 on the Bess Sharpness Tester.
