The viaduct is the first one built entirely from concrete, no re-bar involved. Built by Sir Robert McAlpine. Building began in 1897 and opened in 1901 at a then cost of £18.904.

We were in Budapest a few days ago (5th of Sept. 24) and ate there. For 3 people we paid an incredible 150,-€. For 3 dishes, drinks and NO dessert. The taste was okay, but really nothing special. In the district of Pest, we ate better in an Italian osteria 2 days earlier and only paid half (!). The prices that are demanded here are outrageous, so we wouldn't stop here anymore.

@blackbeardsadventures 👍 Try their Cafe location if you can. Pierre Herme is actually the originator of the rose water flavored macaroon. If you like pastries make reservations at Cedric Grolet's by the Opera. It let's you skip the horrendous lines.

From what I remember they did have a small bar area but not sure for enjoying drinks. You could just do drinks and an apitizer I am sure
