Reenactment battles always look like cartoon-fights... come on, you could do this better!

private "immersion" events usually look better. these sort of battles are put on for public display as a spectacle and have to be easily viewable within a limited space, so they tend to look like something i would make my toy soldiers do in a yard when i'm eight instead of an actual battle

Yeah reenactment battles for the public usually forgo tactics, more spectacle over reality. Usually reenactment units do what are called "tacticals" more often than not in the woods with no public and use/practice actual period military maneuvers. Sadly a lot of public events don't plan for that.

How challenging from a technical perspective was this hike? Would a person who has not hiked t4 be comfortable on this trail?

I think so, the video is quite representative of the trail. There is no scrambling, just thin single track. There is definitely some ‚exposure‘ feeling at certain parts.

The snow was still great up top on the Lauberhorn, just a big contrast when skiing back down into Wengen.

Mate, we had 5 meters (record) this years in South West Switzerland and even Ticino had their 4-5 resorts open for a great season.

Well the snow might have not been great but the Swiss countryside always nice! The scene at 2:20 you just don't get in the US.

its just a bad second half winter but remember the season already started very early, late november already had lots of snow, its also possible that in early april there could be massive snowfall. I remember last early december it was even possible to go cross country skiing in Belgium (which was like never possible in the last 10 years)

I think more than 8 hours with stopping. It definitely pushes the limit of a day hike and requires the gondola up and cog rail train down to do at least comfortably.
